Thank you.
After all, I love Narcissus' myth, but while Narcissus was the son of a nymph Liriope and the river god Cephissus, we don't consider him a god (a demigod, at most; the nymph was the daughter of a low-level god, and she herself mated with a low-level god...). So, as much as I like Narcissus' Curse as a MythPower, it's probably not going to remain there. Otherwise, how do I justify not adding the myth of the shepherd Magnes and the discovery of the lodestone (ie magnet)? Or Jason and the Golden Fleece? Or Meleagros and the firebrand of immortality? Really, as much as I love them all, they'll have to be compiled. I'm thinking of doing one for all the divine monsters, in fact. Likely allowing one to mimic their abilities one at a time, and some other effects to that end. And likewise, the heroes' abilities and feats will be compiled (with a few included within the details of the description to make them more appealing; after all, Heracles' strength, Odysseus' cleverness, Daedalos' intellect, Tiresias' prophecy, Melampus' animal communication, Autolycus' shapeshifting, Meleagros' Dorian-Gray-like immortality, Midas' golden touch, etc).

Again, well said, Wulf. Let it not ever be said that your submissions were ever the result of not thinking the matter thoroughly through. You have, indubitably, given each topic an exhaustive amount of cogitation.

As much as my mind can set aside for the topic.
I'm also currently working on something of a Superpower List of my own, which I eventually hope to make into a superpowered hand-guide to character creation. In book form, of course; this site already has the internet covered. Not to mention, I run SPL's Facebook page, which takes up a little chunk of my time on Facebook. And I run Warriors of Myth Wiki, a database of mythical creatures (couldn't possibly hope to create a wiki for all the gods, so this is the next best thing), by myself. Oh, and I'm currently working on rewriting some facets of my own personal fictional universe (one section of my collection of short stories and whatnot, involves some magical objects, a lot of which need renaming--after all, Ear of Ariyu might seem appealing to some, but I think I prefer an object that bestows Omnilingualism to be called Lexicon's Lathe). It's quite a bit, but fortunately, I'm able to work on it all at my leisure. Though, I guess I should concern myself more with the Rarae Objecti, over in the 'Empowered Objects' thread. Sorry about that, lol

Geez, Louise, dude. You certainly have a full plate. All noble pursuits, to be sure, but even with all that fun stuff to research/format, are you able to get any sleep or down time?

Oh, one other thing. I had some unexpected free time the other night and I compiled a list of all your Mythpowers that are currently on the main site. If you could use it as a handy reference list, let me know and I can shoot it your way

By all means, feel free. If it's not too much trouble.
It'll have to be amended, when future powers come, but it should certainly be of some use with the current roster.

Sadly, this is what I do to keep myself from getting bored. I've got so much downtime, due to not having a job at the moment, which keeps me from really getting out to do stuff with friends, so the occupied time is much appreciated.
And it combines my love of mythology/legend/folklore/fantasy, reading/writing and organization, so that helps to make things easier. Even though I use these things to procrastinate on homework and whatnot, I'm still being productive with other things that need doing, at least.

Okay, so I sort of finished another MythPower in the Hours mini-series, and also came up with MythPower: Adephagia's Avarice at the same time. This is progress.
In the meantime, Smack, have you got any input (questions, comments, concerns, etc) in relation to any other MythPowers I've already done?

Have you ever thought of going into the lesser myth's such as monsters and spirits and whatnot for myths. Like "Echo" for example or that Stitched together hair from Eskmo folklore.

The further I go into obscure myths, the harder the powers will be to come up with. So, I'm stopping it at the minor personifications and abstractions (Philote, Talas, Philyra, The Graiae, Echo, like you said--made one for her already--etc). Doing ones for monsters just doesn't seem plausible, to be honest. And that I realized early.
I even plan on replacing the Laelaps and Teumessian Fox MythPowers I made near the start of the series. At best, I'll probably stick with just Typhon and Echidna, as some construe them as having a divine domain along with the other 'true' deities. Their offspring, like the Sphinx, the Chimera, etc, though? None. Which means that they show up either as a singular power, or not at all. Likewise, I'll have to rework the Underworld MythPowers. Having them separate from the related deities (the deity separate from the underworld realm of Hades, for example) doesn't make sense, on hindsight.

Bounty of Charybdis - the ability to manifest immense whirlpools in time space which pull all things into them and then shoot them out in condensed bursts of matter whose direction you control.

Got one already for Charybdis. Because she's considered by some to be a deity.

Thought she was one of a pair of cursed sisters, like the gorgons.
Then what monsters do you have a hard time coming up with an ability for. |

She was a daughter of Poseidon.
I think that some say that Scylla was her sister, but I'm not certain off the top of my head. And it's really not a matter of coming up with powers. It's just that there's so many, and the overlap simply isn't worth it. Any domainless monsters will likely just be squeezed into a MythPower focused particularly on Monsters.

In that case I'd probably just use Echidna.

I plan on doing one for Typhon and Echidna apart from the other monsters. They had domains.
