Here's the plot. In this world their are two organizations. One is an evil organization composed of humanoid mythical creatures, gods, and whatnot that are attempting to enslave all of the cryptids in existence and create an unholy army of destruction which they will use the conquer the entire world. They use magic to steal the abilities and powers of the most powerful mythical creatures.

Then their is the organization that was created to stop them. It's their job to categorize all of the cryptids and enlist them to their side before they can become enslaved by the other organization.They mostly use a combination of advanced scifi level science and alchemical magic. They catalog the creatures with the use of a scanner device which also is attuned to a special suit which allows them to Hybridize with a chosen creature giving them their abilities.No furries, only slight attribute change along with change of clothes...unless it's a beast akin to the hydra in which case you temporarily grow three heads.


Needs some fine tuning but I think that it is a good idea.

Creatures that I would dub too powerful

Monkey King-defeated gods--yeah...
Kyubi--the one that was in the legend that attacked a whole country and was technically winning until the prophecy
Djinn--If given unlimited freedom in power usage

Creatures strong but defeatable

Vampire-Nigh-invincible at night and only defeatable by certain means---also knows magic
Phoenix--Ungodly regeneration and fire power and fire immunity--can only be defeated by freezing/magic
Gorgon-Petrification--that is all but still that is enough
Boggart--intangibility and telekinesis but otherwise weak

Creatures that are hard or impossible to catch so should be allowed--given that you find a way to do so

Teumessian Fox-cannot be caught=no limits fallacy defense
Loch Ness Monster-Good luck finding it first--and its hype automatically makes it powerful--because of powerful camouflage/stealth etc.
Dullahan-basically the grim reaper--if you find it you will probably be dead
Griffin-Yeah good luck trying to get near one
Cerberus-same as griffin

you should probably try for the shadow men, there a lower class of demons capable of poltergeist activities, invisibility, umbrakinesis, transformation, and shadowing.

your allowed one incredibly strong starter so you can actually stand a chance, then you begin to collect on private and assigned missions. THat's why I chose Dragons first, speed, power, magical abilities, and agility, although little to no ability to go around unnoticed.

The first mission will probably be spring heeled jack He has a wiki page.

I choose Dullahan as starter reasons

1. Nothing can impede the road---ie limited unstoppability--even bridges would get lowered for me
2. Grants me a horse for transportation---if I wanted I could I would use a motorcycle like the anime Durarara
3. Badass Bone Whip Sword/Scythe
4. Death Prediction-Can predict if someone is going to die

Basically similar to Ghost Rider

Other starters

Leprechaun--increases luck and good for finding things
Cait Sith-Puss in Boots version--reason landing on my feet and no sound when I step

As you can see they are all Irish starters because the character is Irish.
