Yeah, we'll determine that later, by vote, I think.

Yes, chance. that way it will remain frequent. Rp's will advance at a weekly, bi weekly, or monthly rate, and then they will be removed from the raffle. At which point, another Rp will be chosen from the list by raffle, and be instituted. This will continue until their is one left. Upon which the system will restart.
New RP's which are created during the raffle process will not be added into the list until restart.

Ammendments to the rules may be put up to a vote scheduled at a specific time once per week, the ammendments will not be put into motion until all have voted.

If possible the Rp's may be raffled off at three or less at a time. If the Rp has not cleared a pre required amount of pages in the thread by a certain date after it's initiation, It will be replaced by another within the raffle.

This network needs a bit of fine tuning as well as a random number generator. The maintenance of the raffle will be ghanged on a weekly basis based on a list determined through random number generation.

That made next to no sense to me. RPs should be chosen by interest not chance.

Going to throw in my thoughts while I have time.

Personally I wouldn't mind more RPs being run at once, I feel that I could keep up with more than what we have going at the moment. It most likely is not possible to get many more RPs going though because the real problem lies with participation. At the moment in EPRP I only have two users who I can rely on to continually post and while it is nearing its end, it would have gone a lot faster and smoother if other users did not have spotty participation.

If we change the queue or keep it, have few or many RPs, the current problem we are having won't change without participation from nearly every user involve in the RP section.

I think we should keep the queue as it is, I don't think any of our current problems lie with it or would be remedied by changing it. In most cases we simply vote on which RP we would wish to activate next so that the queue acts more as a list than an actual queue. I would vote for Jester's WoM RP to start again, and possibly SSH, but out off all of his proposed I would really like to return to WoM.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

In my experience interest is more fickle than chance and fades, much, much, much easier. This system would give us a chance to rotate more frequently and keep ourselves "Fresh"

This system is just my suggestion of course, made in preperation to the meeting mentioned by shadow wolf.

That's what I;ve been saying.(only you said it much more coherently). Participation is the problem, not the queue.

It will also alienate people who wanted to start other RPs and not ones they didn't like. Interest is more reliable than chance.

Well, the entire point, Jester, is that people are going to participate in whichever ones they want to participate in anyways. I can make Evolutionist's Stone into the next great American novel, but if nobody's interested, it'll be just me. That's why we have organization for the public group projects, and the privately-run ones can be started up and run as the GM/DM sees fit.

Like GV's Domain Game Quest. His RP wasn't on the Queue, but GV's running it rather well. So long as it doesn't slow other RPs from running, it doesn't affect the Queue one way or another.

First, Why are we having this discussion in this thread

Second, Raffle idea actually sounds interesting but I think it would have to work a specific way. The raffle shouldn't be over the current proposed RPs, but instead over some proposed concepts of RPs that would be short so that we could try them out quickly after the raffle was done.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Because my comments thread are always fodder for randomness. I can never get interest in my threads, unless it's to talk about something entirely unrelated.

 Then git off mah property!

But, yeah, no, I'm gonna move all this discussion after its finished, and then it'll be what it was originally intended for (aside from if anybody wanted to comment); for me and Savior to correspond on how to continue 'Greetings, from Celadon!'.

Interesting, so basically  rotillary system for testing out Rp's which have not begun in order to gain interest and work out the actual mechanics, upon which they may be voted into the register to actually begin right?

Something like that.

Could even have separate raffles for Setting, power type, goal, etc then combine it all into a mini RP to try out.

A randomizer Rp.......wait, if we turned the raffle into an actual RP wouldn't it also become part of the queue as well....or I suppose it could not...

It would most likely be a loose way to test out different concepts and how they react then.

We've been able to test concepts in the past without a raffle. I don't see why we need one now.
