All right, so I'm gonna start working on improving Evolutionist's Stone.

Just grammar and spelling and stuff, and then making sure all the plot goes together nicely.

And after that (which should take a week or two), I will resume the Evolutionist's Stone.

If any of you need an overview of events to get caught up (in case you want to participate, or just read along), I will gladly provide said overview at that time.

So...there you have it.

Maybe catch up on the reading, so you can help me decide the future of the RP?

So, maybe...read slower? And read smaller portions at a time?

Wait, a page, as in page 1 of the thread?

Well, that's not so bad. It's maybe the equivalent of twenty book pages.

A while back, Shadowulf1 wrote
O.K., lemme explain.

The story in itself entails the distribution of superhuman abilities after a comet of mysterious origin comes to Earth (in an event called the Australis Event). All of it dissolved in the atmosphere, except for a small portion, about palm-sized, which is rumored to be able to multiply superhuman abilities a thousandfold. When you first see our heroes, they are on different sides of the struggle to obtain the stone.

After the protagonist group obtains the stone, they use it to attempt to rally up support from the people of a nearby town (which in return will boost their morale, and get them talking about the hope they plan to bring with the stone). Except one problem; the stone itself is a big fat phony. It exists, but has absolutely no power at all. Now, the protagonists must attempt to use their powers to convince the people that they are as powerful as they seem.

If they are seen as powerful enough, maybe they can get the support they need to overthrow the overlords that took over after the ensuing chaos of the comet's arrival.

Large outbreaks of radiation-based illness from the comet's arrival, increased drug, gang and criminal activity due to the electricity being off for nearly a year, and lastly the takeover of various overlords are among the various challenges they will face.

The overlords are extremely powerful (often, but not always, superhumans), and extremely clever and ruthlessly ambitious, superhuman or not. They have reign over their territories for a good reason; they are willing to do whatever it takes to establish their rule. Some conquer, some plot and scheme, some usurp the thrones of others, and some just want to expand their territory for drug and criminal trades. But all of them defend their land with unyielding might; some even establish alliances to strengthen the grip of their sovereignty.

As of now, we've taken out only Overlord Caleb Trelaine and his pothead brother Dane Trelaine Corrigan. We were working on taking down The Mover, Lillith Vandal-Savage and Ella Camphrey (the Raven Lady), all with the help of Overlady Lisa-Lee Cade, before the story went on hiatus.
And since then, the following important events have ensued:

1) The Mover (The former Overlord of Indiana with the power of Telekinesis) has almost been overthrown and killed, but was rescued right on time by Mr. Skeleton, and jaunted off to the kingdom of Mr. Skeleton's employer, Overlady Trelaine (Overlord Caleb Trelaine's mother). She is currently helping the Mover to plan a comeback, though it will benefit her more than him.

2) While in Chicago, the main protagonists (Pierce, Fitz, Nadia, Tessa and Ivan) meet the Adam (The Artist; Artistry Animation) and his assistant, Anita (Mathematical Intuition); Adam and Ivan visit an old friend of Ivan's and use her home to establish a right proper base of operations (with help from Adam's power); they pick up new team members.

3) Overlady Ella Camphrey was taken down; she was taken into the Astral Realm by the spirits of all her former victims. It was a crowning moment of awesome for Cookie (Corrina; Mediumism and ESP). Lillith Vandal-Savage has been taken down as well; she was taken out by Ben (Music-based Reality Bending), turned into stone, and then blown away into the wind as sand.

4) After the demise of the two Overladies, and the mysterious disappearance of the Overlord, new, just rulers are put in their place, and the now-larger group of rebels decides to split up, and branch out into other lands, to spread the rebellion much faster. The strongest potential for Adam's power makes this much easier.

Team rosters:

-Cancun: Ben, Byne, Francesca (Overlady: La Dama Verde)
---Living in, disguised as servants of the Overlady
-Los Angeles:Kitty, Quentin, Eugene, Tock, Vicious (Overlord: the Controller)
-Vancouver: Duke, Delilah, Jessica, Xiu, Alice (Overlady: Melissa Regina Bea)
---Xiu and Alice kidnapped, about to be rescued
-Cairo: Collin, Jeremy, Devon, Philip, Travis (Overlady: Ufar the Undaunted)
---Living in, disguised as allies of the Overlady
-Dallas: Corrina (Cookie), Ginger, Cosmo, Mark (Overlord: Buck Lynch)
---Imprisoned by the Overlord; plotting escape
-Orlando: Des, Snake, Trick, David
---Living in, attempting to gain favor with the Overlord (who is, um...Chaotic-Good-aligned)
-Mississippi: Pierce, Fitz, Nadia, Tessa, Ivan (Overlady: Day Alexander)
---Living in with Overlady Lisa-Lee Cade, in New Orleans, for cover
-New York: Wayne, Jack, Flores, Damien, 9 apprentices
---Helping Overlord after his girlfriend is kidnapped by the shapeshifter Alex

5) Overlady Trelaine is up to no good, but her activities have yet to be revealed to any of the protagonists.

Yes, I know, there are many characters. Feel free to ask about any of their personalities, I have them on mental rolodex. And I know this is much to keep track of, but if you have any questions, I'm here to answer them. A couple of other things are happening, but they are unimportant. This should about cover it. And just for good measure, please copy this to a Word document. I will not want to repeat this again, and I will likely be too lazy to try to find it again.

Hope this helps. And before you start, please discuss with me which parts you're interested in working on, and where you plan to take the storyline from there. I know some are intimidated by the length of the story, and the amount of characters and all the things going on, but if we work together, we can make it all interweave nicely into a story worth reading and talking about.

 Happy trails!

My word........I think....I think I'm going to have to ask a lot of questions before I join in. But I am determined to ease myself into this.

Once I get started I think it'll get easier, but for now where do think I should start studying to help continue the story?

I know, it's a lot (much more than I actually expected), but currently, we're worried more about the stuff at the bottom, the teams, and the Overlords/ladies that they're up against.

Take your pick of which one sounds the best to you.

Cancun (La Dama Verde), Orlando (Williams) and Mississippi (Alexander) are campaigns of war/conflict/rivalry.

Los Angeles (the Controller) is a campaign of conquest.

Vancouver, Cairo and Dallas are campaigns of social subversion (taking control of the people).

New York (Parker) and Orlando (Williams) are campaigns of trying to form alliances with (fairly) benevolent Overlords.

The campaign objective of Australia (Trelaine) is partly conquest, with another part, coming up, pertaining to war/conflict/rivalry as well as some social subversion. It will be the most complex. This one, if you take it on,will require more effort.

Any other questions?

The Controller (Overlord of LA) found out that Kitty's group was in Los Angeles shortly after they arrived. Right away, he sent Marina and company, a trio of mercenaries, after them to be dealt with. However, the plot was foiled a couple times; the first time, the bumblers walked right past Eugene and Quentin in a convenience store, not even recognizing them. The second time, their attempt at capture was foiled, and they themselves got captured by the people they were coming for.

At this point, they'll be transported back to the base in Chicago (via Adam's power) and interrogated to find out what the Controller is up to. They discover a plan for conquest of all the rest of California, as well as eventually Nevada and Arizona.

If you get up to narrating that part, please don't give away/make up details of the plan; just stop there because I have an idea.
