And hopefully Bug, when he can.

Anybody else? I'd really like to get numbers. If you think you'll be around long enough, and you think you'll be able to maintain interest, please let me know. I'll see if I can't help you find a character that suits your personality, or your preference of character archetypes.

I'm pulling up a list of characters in the first segment of the old RP.

By the way, did we ever settle on a time frame?

Alright.

Let's do some looking.

So, we'll need to think about the characters and events of the first bit of the roleplay. Let's just call it Act 1, then.

Starts off with the stone, ends with the defeat of Caleb.

Or, at least that's how it went in the old one.

So, a rough list of groups and characters, then.

Our Heroes
Nadia, a Hispanic woman with a fiery temper and a chilling control of cold
Jack, a half-demon with combo platter powers
Flores, a former overlord and possessor of disproportionate strength for his size
Byne, a man with the power to return from the dead immune to what killed him.
Ivan, a cockney fellow with the ability to grow more arms
Ben, a black man with music that can warp reality
Contessa, a girl who doesn't need to pay a penny for your thoughts
Pierce, an electrical man and Contessa's beau (Ridiculously attractive)
Fitz, a poor Irish sucker with the ability to sense superpowers

 The time frame was sort of fuzzy. I said fifteen years after The Australis Event (supposedly 12/21/12), putting the setting in the year 2027, but I've seen places where writers only said it was five years since The Event, placing the story's beginning at 2017.

What do you think of setting the story at an even 20 years later? Does anybody object to setting the year at 2032, giving a more lenient expanse for societal collapse, struggling economic/governmental/political recovery, and establishment of a few kingdoms and dynasties? Perhaps a few civil wars in that time?

 Hm...I'm thinking of moving a few of these folks around.

Ben, for one. I think I'll move him in with the Davis Sisters, in Act 2. He's powerful, but really conflicted about what the supers plan to do. He doesn't seem like the type to go out into conflict, so I won't thrust him into it. He can live with Cookie and Ginger in Texas, and thus come up later, in maybe a minor role. A great support, but minor nonetheless.

Rather than having Ben be in a group with Byne and Francesca, I think Flores should complete that trio. The story of why the three are together can be pretty fun and interesting, I think.

Jolyne can be moved up further in the story. As in, only bring her in when the President is brought up, which is not until much later. Not for at least another 'Act'. She brings little to nothing to the table as far as actual relevant plot. So we can spend that time coming up with a way for her to be more useful to President Manning's administration/regime.

Jack Flash can maybe be even further back in continuity. Perhaps Act 4 or beyond. I'd like to see him perhaps in Lisa-Lee's Louisiana arc, along with all the other charlatans. He had no place in Act 1. Provided nothing useful there. So, he can come later, and maybe pull a bit of an anti-hero deal. Nothing serious, but sure, why not?

Torres will show up occasionally. He's not super-duper important for much more than transportation. Still, he's a friend of the group. He should be more developed than he was in this RPs previous incarnation.

Also, Tamara's group. Tamara is important, and I think she actually gets among the best characterization in the original RP, but for the most part, her follower folks start off as background and become more important in the next act.

And just to clarify, for the 'Lunatics', Eugene has Hemokinesis (Bloodbending). The one with Accelerated Thought Processes was a guy named Quentin (who, this time, will get a another profile picture for Zale to ogle and drool over).

So, um, yeah. My two cents on all that.

That seems hard to believe when most superpowered people are the ones in charge.

 Zale is right, Bug. Superhumans are the main ones in charge. Worldwide, turning supers into second-class citizens would be sort of improbable, not to mention incredibly difficult.

Though, to be fair, I had actually planned some variation on that idea, eventually. The variation, I think is far more plausible.

Oh, by the way, you know that someone made a fan-splat for New World of Darkness based on the Magical Girl genre?

There's also a splat called Tuxedo. Guess who you play as in that.

Of course, they're both redundant because Magical Burst exists. You could also run that type of game in Mutants and Masterminds.

Back to the topic of ESRP, though. Would you guys be willing to start up the Evolutionist's Stone reboot after this NB arc is finished?

Also, again, I need to know who all would be interested in participating. Zale posted potential characters. So, if there's any folks you have in mind, then great. And if not, then let me know. And any questions, comments, concerns...have at it.

Happy belated birthday!

I'm working on participating in a couple RPs', but also working to revive an old RP that sort of went down in flames the last time around. This time, I hope to have more available roleplayers participate with me, and more things to make it flow like an actual story, that we wouldn't mind reading, even once it was finished.

And speaking of which...Bug, I think wants to participate. And Zale. And GV.

Who else can I count in, for the reboot? Anybody else?
