Arise, arise!

I was thinking about reviving this idea without the Risus rules, and instead just build characters using the god building system from Lords of Creation.

Stats would be

Power
Speed
Endurance
Awareness

with the same skill buy rules.

Mostly because I'm a sucker for defined skills, and won't have to track nearly as much.

How many points? 10, maybe.

Mostly, I haven't run any of these and want one off the ground eventually.

And I think I'll change the plot. Well, what happened, anyway. Everest is the same, best and brightest of humanity and all that. Still contained, still automated. Just that, when everyone went to school their were no teachers. And when they got home no one was there.

And no one could get out.

Same recipe ofr stir crazy anarchy and I think it makes more sense.

I think you would do great with starting an RP, you should probably decide which idea you definitely want to start with. You have several good ones to choose from.

For the stats, are we starting at base 1 like LoC:
Power 5
Speed 3
Endurance 5
Awareness 1

or from base 0:
Power 3
Speed 1
Endurance 5
Awareness 1

Technically, it is. The skill system is essentially just RISUS.

10 might be a bit much, though. I don't know. I like mechanics, but I'm not very good at them. What do you suggest?

Oh, I didn't realize we were including the ability to buy skills as well. 8 would be too low then.

If this is going to be an exact copy of LoC then I'm going to have to suggest the same thing I did there. Points and skills should be determined separately.

8 for skills might be a little much. There would need to be an upper limit on a skill value since making a singular skill (8) seems like it would be too strong. Creating 8 individual skill (1)s seems like it would be a hassle too, and possibly would add too much diversity. What is the average number of skills you want per character and then we can decide a good number based off that.
