If we are having limited points to gain Aspects then I don't see some of those types being used.

Well, I don't think all of it. Turn based, far to slow. I think I'll just reach into it's innards and tear out mechanics that I like to make some sort of horrible Frankenstein.

I'd like to keep and expand what I have for Axel already.

One concern is that in this RP the city works by having gangs of similar characteristics, so shouldn't all our characters be related in some way?

You could probably all try to come up with an overarching theme or style.

What if you created the overarching theme and we all combine it with our characters that we are currently working out.

Even more interesting would be to have us all create our characters, and once we are done, tell us the overarching theme and have us all come together then.

That sort of railroading doesn't sit right with me. It really feels like one of those things the players should have control over.

I'll think about a good overarching them then, though I think I would rather try to fit my character into a theme that I'm not picking so hopefully someone else suggests one.

I'd suggest a few themes, and ask people to choose which one they liked the best.

You've been in this city for a while, and it doesn't seem like anythings changed since the sealing. Fights, constant fights. It's chaotic, it's irritating. You all can't stand it anymore. There is no law in this city, no matter what the big gangs say. Well, if they aren't going to end this crap, you're going to. You'll see order in this city, even if you have to beat the ass of every gang in the city.

Man, this city has gone to crap. Those first few weeks after the sealing everything was glorious. Fights, explosions, excitement! A non-stop party. Then the rankings came about, the big gangs got established, and everything cooled down. There are still fights, but now it's all about the Rankings and they're so few and far between. Well fine, you'll just remind everyone what those old days were like. You'll abolish the rankings, and take down the big gangs, and shatter the established order. You'll bring the spark back to the city, even if you have to beat the ass of every gang in the city.
