So people become weaker if they get sent to hospital?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Specifically, you lose a single point in the cliche that was lowered to zero. Of course, not all opponents are going to be like the Urchins. I think I made them a little too hardcore. And you can always raise cliches with experience points.

I'll see what the opinion on this is and change the game accordingly if it doesn't work.

By the way, what were your thoughts on the combat itself? Seem okay?

So that is a permanent loss?

You can raise it back with experience, but other than that the loss is permanent.

I think I'm going to have it work where you can spend double the cliches current number to raise it. So the raise a cliche from 2-->3 would take 4 points. This may change if it doesn't seem like it works.

Maybe, just don't want it to spiral out of control where you get weaker from losing and then continue to lose and get weaker because you are already weaker.

Don't worry, if you guys keep losing there's always weaker opponents to fight. Unless you hit rock bottom, but I would have to be a killer GM to let that happen. I'm not a killer GM, I'm one of those guys who wants to see a story crafted.

Now, about the fight itself. To fast? To slow? To much action? Not enough action? Was it clear what was happening?

I guess what it boils down to is; Was it fun?

Yes, the fighting itself was well done. The only thing I can see being a problem is that the cliches seem to drop fast, so I don't know how a longer battle where we dropped to zero in our cliches would play out.

Maybe after we heal you could do a test battle where it was predetermined that we would lose and see how battle works out once the cliches drop low.

That sound good. Of course, if you're scared you're going to lose, you could always run away. This was partially inspired by The Warriors, after all.

Maybe a chase is in order?

Maybe, I still think a test battle where we lose will help us get more of an idea of how things work under bad circumstances.

So, just a general feedback request to everyone; How an I doing? What do you like? What do you dislike? Is there anything that could be done better? Any more questions about the setting?

You don't have a cliche for a knife fighter.

True, but most swordsmen did carry small knives for fighting in close quarters and suicide.

Sorry I've been absent.

I'm feeling kinda of brain drained, which is why I've slumped behind on roleplays..

Try to stick to just the sword. You have improv, so unless you fight someone in a bare room you are never really without a weapon.

Are you going to add anymore to the test run?
