Remember that during the RP you'll have to post the creation of said items before you can use them. No "oh hey I suddenly have a very useful item". And you'll only be able to create certain enchantments until you discover the "recipes" for other enchantments.

Wow...ok.....I didn't mean it like that. I meant that your teachers (the enchantment ones) can provide you with the "recipes" as part of your lessons and that you may stumble upon a "recipe" hidden in the school.

I just thought of something. What kind of facilities for students are there? Laboratories, libraries, training areas for magic, classrooms, meditation areas, etc?
