.........perhaps then, each one of them can take a class in minor summoning which will allow them to summon a toll pertaining to their element that can be used to funnel their magical abilities into.

take summoning 101 as one of the basic classes that all of them have to take. the ability to manifest a tool to funnel magic through is a basic ability. Like the restorers would most likely have staffs or harps etc. depending on the person, the wind users would most likely manifest bows, daggers, fans, etc. The tool would basically be the equivalent to a wand except usefull in close combat.

I like the idea of having tools, but they will not be summoned. It would cheapen the summoning school if everyone could use it. Their tools will be crafted individually.

I think i'm just going to go with a wand for my character, I'm still working out appearance for him, so not done with that yet.
