Sword formed of fire psionically and sword formed of ice psionically. This is for a possible backup character in case I get tired of my Kata.

Did I not supply stats for those?

If you want to stop using your alien, you could switch to something from earth. That way you don't have to make a new culture for each character.

Checking back, no you did not supply stats for both.

Right. A human who happens to be psionic... That would be an Unusual Background.

So Enhanced Musculature would enhance strength, durability and reflexes.

Ah. Don't like Ice-Blade, because I'm not certain how to frame the fact that it's a solid weapon.

I could try innate attack for both..

Also, There are ways to replicate Psionic abilities without being Psionic.

For example, the mundane advantage of Empathy coupled with high levels of Psychology and Detect Lies could leave people thinking you can read their minds.

Or just become an Download and run around with a robotic war-body. Who needs Psionics when then?

It's a convenient excuse to give that.

Do you have any idea how Gurps works?

No, but an explanation would be appreciated.

Everyone has a certain number of points to build a character on (350 in our case).

Advantages and skills raise the point total, starting from 0.

So if you wanted the ton-lifting superstrength, It would raise your total to 160 out of 350.

If you wanted to free up some points, you could give your character a disadvantage. Like, say, Ham-Fisted (Bad motor skills). Disadvantages apply negative points. [-5] For the mild cases with this.

So your point total would go down, to 155 out of 350.

It's important to have advantages and skills, because what you see is what you get.

If you don't have Computer Operation as a skill, your character may not be able to properly utilize one.

If you don't have Piloting, your character won't know how to properly fly something. They could flail around and try, or attempt to apply knowledge from Driving to it, but not well..

Not much into pure machine bodies.

Actually, here's a question: Does GURPS use the same energy types as D&D? (Heat, Cold, Electricity, Acid, Sonic, Dessication, etc) And do they end up as modifiers for Innate Attacks and other techniques?

Nope. It uses Burning, Corrosion, Crushing, Cutting, Fatiguing, Piercing and Toxic. With various modifiers.

Interesting. So is there a cold/ice modifier? 'Cause then you could model a sword formed of ice possibly with cutting (cold/ice mod) or burning attack (cold/ice mod)

What would you want the cold to do?

It just sucks how detailed GURPS obviously expects you to be...

I could make it drain fatigue, so it slows them down.

Or just let it stun them, "Temporarily" freezing them.
