Keep in mind that an Artificial Intelligence is software. It has no real physical body normally. Instead, when making one, you simply use whichever robotic body they make use of most frequently.

So, a Dedicated A.I has some advantages and some disadvantages.

They always know what time it is, never require any type of rest, don't really age and can upload/download themselves onto other machines. They also come with automatic communications, the ability to do math problems with ease and never swerve from their master, or show any fear. They also never forget!

Of course, they can't lie worth crap and can't learn anything new- the have no will or initiative of their own, so they slavishly obey their master.  Like all A.Is, they can't hurt people. They also don't get emotions or jokes.

Most Dedicated A.Is aren't very intelligent, but nothing keeps them from being so.

For some missions, in others it's rather an advantage that the emplyer knows that their dealing with a giant man eating insect that could and probably will hunt you to the ends of the earth if cheated. Other times its better to have them talk to a small non threatening character.
