ST in generally does HP, Lifting capacity, melee attack damage.

Jumping height is measured by basic speed.

8 IQ is a disadvantage worth -40 points. Which gives you 40 more points to play with.

Skinny is a -5 disadvantage. Prevents your HT from being more than 14, and gives you a -2 ST disadvantage to resisting knock-back.

Basically, I need to get an idea of the racial norms for this Mantis Species. Your character can have more ST if you really want, I just need an idea for averages.

Anyway, you can get Allies (Loyal NPCs). They're fairly cheap. There's also Contacts (Whom you can bug for answers) and Patrons (Who are far more powerful than you, and help you)

You can also have Enemies, if you want. They're a disadvantage.

Disadvantages are nice, 'cause the technically give you points.

What do you mean by racial norms?

the manti are the apex predators on a planet developed in an ovular orbital around it's sun. They usually travel solitarily and are born one at a time. The creatures take down large prey, many times their size through strength and blood lust alone, often devouring entire carcases of beings roughly five times the size of your average Rhinosorous of over the course of several days after a kill. The average speed of the creature can be best displayed during a hunt, where it has been known to reach speeds of near forty miles an hour during a sprint, before leaping grashopper like onto the back of it's pray and literally ripping the spine out of it's neck through the use of their hardened skin and superior strength.

The biope of the planet differs greatly due to it's ovular orbit, with winters encasing the planet in ice, while the summers revert it into a barren desert. During harsh winters the creatures have been known to go into an almost hibernative state similiar to the Himilayan grass hopper.

Like most insects, their hard outer shell provides some resistance to radiation, as well as providing a short defense against vacuums.


This subject, discovered a ship piloted by a small research unit, after slaughtering and devouring most of them, the managed to capture him. After months of observation, picked up on the traits of these creatures and then promply escaped, killing them all, before crashlanding on an inhabited planet with enough no how of basic society to exist in cities, and barter.

Great, well here I go! The Ryoka are demonic leopard wolves and have the attributes of both species. They also have extremely acute hearing, such that they can pinpoint the exact location of a noise from 10 metres away. They also have higher strength and speed than leopards and wolves and are very loyal to their masters. As creatures of Le Monde d'Ombre, they of course have no eyes and thus cannot see.

There's very little I can't do with this system.

So I can see disadvantages like Blood Lust and Berserk. Perhaps Callous also.

I can probably model the winter-sleep thing..

Also, if your character is like that, he'd probably soon get he social stigma (Monster).

Of the two, Would you consider a Lion or a Tiger as being closer to a Leopard?

By racial norms, I mean the normal capabilities of the race, without any additional skills or abilities.

The government organization that wants to capture his species and turn them into super weapons.

A cybernetic species hunter who wishes to claim the best of them as his prize to be a head on his mantle piece.

An X girlfriend, who's parents he slaughtered over a kill, don't worry for them this is the equivalent of breaking up with her in front of her friends. Still deadly though. She snuck aboard a research unit.

A bounty hunter whom he cheated in the past when it came to splitting the rewords...and the kill.
