@Phi: No.
@Zale: I don't see how either your statement or mine could have been insulting. I was basically saying that both agnostics and atheists deny the definite presence of God or A god. Atheists just say that it's for definite. We came from monkeys, we're just accidents of the universe, nothing more, nothing less. Agnostics just don't know for sure. If they were a political party, they'd take the place of "Undecided" on the ballot. And YOUR statement was simply saying you took it as an insult. I understand where you were going, and I wouldn't take the comparison personally. Again, you have yet to grasp the magnitude of my beliefs, because you do not share them. So, I've learned to let those things slide. It's honestly not worth it, trying to explain the supernatural in terms of the secular.

That's exactly the point I pose. Agnosticism is just the fancy term for being undecided. Not much more to be said than that. It's not like you can research indecisiveness, or read a book about the unknown.

Hmm how do people explain that we are the only sentient life on the planet?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Don't you get it, Phi? The atheists have already tried to explain it away as an accident of the universe. The agnostics have said there's no way to know AT ALL (the best they can do to comprehend it is feeble human research, subject to human error and such).

Again, there's no way to show the supernatural world to the supernatural. If the secular mindset is the one that people adopt, then that will be all they know. They wouldn't understand an angel unless they saw it in person, and could dissect it and study its anatomy. They wouldn't understand God unless he rang their doorbell, shook their hand and said, "Hi there! I'm Jehovah, the All-Mighty God, Father of Jesus Christ!"
It is because of this, that when we say that in order to understand Christ, you must ask Him for understanding, they can't even do that, because they question His existence to begin with (and what fool would pray to be heard by a being they didn't believe in?).

Are you trying to be annoying?
Shadowulf you say a bunch of things that I personally feel are wrong or things I disagree with. I let it go and don't argue with you about it because I consider you a friend. Please don't push it. Sorry...

If it was just random science you would think that anything organic could develop sentience (hmm well now that i think about it it could if God wanted) but anyways if it was random it would of happened by now.

Before anyone says something stupid, You should know that I think evolution(At least at the earliest levels) is iffy at best. The chances seem astronomical for it to have worked. (I bet this surprises some people.)
According to evolution.. It is... ...Because we suck. Humans lack strong claws, a tough hide, wings, etc... Compared to most animals, we suck. So all the stupid proto-humans got themselves eaten, while the smart ones survived. Eventually, they got smart enough to be sentient. Or something like that.

I dont see anything wrong with evolution and religion, God created an entire universe i think he can make some organisms evolve. I dont think humans started out as monkeys, just maybe a less sophisticated form of human like neanderthal(spelling?)

Neanderthal
(Took me a spell checker and Google to figure out the correct spelling. ) So, they might have been a subspecies of humanity. They sound.. Scary...

What in THEE heck are you talking about?
You said there's no way to know for sure, right? That's what I said. That's what I KEEP saying. So why is it bothering you so? You said you're Agnostic, and that's what agnostic means.

They were said to have been a subspecies. That much has already been established. And they were unintelligent brutes, by anyone's standards.

Meh..
It was mostly the post after that.. I don't automatically look at anything supernatural and think "FAIL, It doesn't exist/not real".

Kay, well, still, I feel that's valid as well. You would be unable to believe for sure unless you saw it for yourself, correct? I think I know the answer. I just satirized it a bit, all in good fun.

Yeah..
From what I've read, they were a bit less intelligent. But physically, They'd be much stronger.
Interesting..

Or someone I trusted told me they'd seen it.
Within reason..

I've seen visions of Heaven and Hell, and Angels and Demons. And God has spoken to me, and touched me on my shoulder before. My mother's dreamed the future before, a gift which my sister (sometimes) shares with her. Does any of THAT count?
If not, then read this, and see if I could just come up with THAT off the top of my head... http://superpower-list-forum.2863604.n2.nabble.com/Stuff-by-Shadowulf-td6012918i20.html#a6054092
