Though the name may have to be changed (because they don't accept two powers of the same name, even into the superpower graveyard) you can keep everything else basically the same, so it'll be a cinch to recognize it and ease it through the approval process.

I don't think so.
I think that if you acquired Author Power Mimicry, you would get those powers you thought of; you may not have submitted them, but you did think of them. Any other power (i.e. Author Power Mimicry) would do the same. Just my thoughts.
