Do you want the rate of expansion to be slower? Should it only adapt when aced with a problem or you will it to? Do the mental capabilities need to be toned down?

True, but it was described as mimicking or harnessing the power. In which case you might be able to use Mythpowers with training, while still having protection from others Mythpowers.
