I have a somewhat complicated standpoint here.

I, too, am guilty of stating that Con Negation is ineffective against my powers, but like Shadowulf1, it is because there are particular ones that would be unacceptable for the site otherwise. For instance, if I removed the limit on Power Sacrifice, it'd turn into an unblockable "block everything" power, rather than one with an intentional restriction (which, due to an obvious exploit, I intend to fix with a specifically-worded superpower in the very near future, perhaps tonight).

On another note, I must agree with Zaleramancer that in NB, many of us have physical forms they are no longer not recognizable as human; I'm on the milder end with a physical form of a cat, which Marv sits in the middle somewhere with a humanoid body of quartz and others such as Zale in a form that reveals our alien (though not extraterrestrial in all cases) nature quite openly. Therefore, many restrictions would not apply; a weakness which destroys the voicebox would be unnoticed by me, as the form of a cat requires use of telepathy to communicate anyway.

Another point, however, brought up in WHD's post, is that Con Negation seems not intended for making powers overpowered, but instead for cancelling out unwanted side effects. Therefore, attaching a rare statement to the description or a tag in a comment may not by as problematic as it seems, but merely balance. It is one thing for a combination of powers which normally work independently to be overpowered, but it is quite another for a standalone power and a meta-power to be just as, if not more, overpowered.

As I said, I am looking at this from an unusual position here. As a result, my points are weak, potentially invalid and largely a repetition of the points of others. If I fully sided with Zale, I'd be a hypocrite, a term I hate having applied to me whether valid or not and if I sided with Shadowulf1 to my entirety, I'd be lying about my true standpoint here.

Right, here is my basic idea for a new power:
Title: Information Enchantment
Overview: The ability to bestow supernatural properties on information itself.
Description: With this power, one can give information supernatural properties, mainly effects on the reader/viewer/etc.
The good:
-Make stuff impossible to remember.
-Help people simply by advertising.
-Your imagination is the limit.
The bad:
-Your imagination is the limit.
-If people repeat the information, it may lose some or all of it's properties.
-No powers may modify the workings of this power.

Keep in mind this is a WIP power.

It's kind of like a form of Ability Imbuing* for information itself. I'll add it soon, perhaps when I am feeling less tired.

Title: Information Cleansing
Overview: The ability to remove unusual effects from information.
Description: With this ability, the user can remove any supernatural effects from information at will. They can choose to remove only certain effects or simply make it completely mundane.
Pros:
-With help from powers, stare at medusa without harm.
-Counter enemy use of Information Enchanting.
-One can remove only some supernatural effects from a piece of information.
Cons:
-Enemies may make one part of the information dependent on another.
-Only useful if are used to the non-mundane aspects of the world.
-The effects may hit you before you can counter it, so you may need to have additional powers.

How so? It only removes supernatural properties from information itself. I'm certainly open to your take on it.

Depends on if the magic is send via information.

Even if you can't feel the fireball, it still burns.

Indeed. A curse which killed all of or all but a specific ethnic group of observers, for instance, could be neutralized, but a magical fireball would be unaffected; it'd hurt just as much and do just as much damage.

Not all magic, just the sort that requires written and/or spoken incantations.

If the magic requires only a potion or a gesture, then you'd still be messed up.
