Wouldn't want you adding in something like "It doesn't work with this one specific power because we don't like it" or "No con negation because negating cons isn't the the purpose of con negation anyways"

I can make a con for each of them saying that, when combined with the other, it allows Omnipotence, which is too much for a mortal body to handle, and thus causes them to explode, if ever used in unison.

And that con, naturally, would get the NCN tag.

If it wasn't clear in my previous post, I really hate the NCN tag. That is like having a fireball superpower with a No Pyrokinesis Tag just for the heck of it. Con Negation is a stand alone power with the purpose of removing cons and we shouldn't continue the trend of adding NCN just because the power is popular because it completely removes the point of one power and just clutters another.

Similarly, we shouldn't edit in nerfs to the two you are referencing just because they are popular. The fact that they work together should not matter because we would then have to edit Power of Imagination to not work with any mind amplifying power or any other power that combos with another. The point of collecting powers is that they work together.

Let me put it this way, its like me putting Anti-Myth-Power on everyone of my powers so that they are immune to and overpower everyone one of your powers within the series just because I think your series happens to be strong and I don't want it used against my power.

For what you are doing, you could just save yourself the trouble and edit the Con Negation power itself to say:

*Warning: Does not actually negate cons

There are currently 33 pages worth of superpowers that have the NCN tag unnecessarily at the moment!

Would you really want somebody at a low level of power development to just up and harness a great big chunk of a deity's power?

Every NCN is unnecessary Wulf, you're making a power on the list useless, a well known power at that, just because you don't want your mythpowers to be affected by another power.

What is so special about your powers that they deserve to make other powers on the list irrelevant?

The ability to use the power better is not even dependent solely on the NCN power anyways, If I wanted I could go find dozens of powers that would make the use of the mythpowers different, would you want to edit all those just to keep yours a special case on the site?

The powers should be able to exist in isolated cases and not just be altered because of other powers on the site. Imagine if you were a new user and your first two powers were Con Negation and a Mythpower, how disappointing and pointless would it be to have Con Negation when it could not be used.

Please do not edit the other powers, not until you can at least get others on this site who disagree with me.

I find myself agreeing fully with Phi on this.

Also: Mortal body my ass. My NB character's "Body" would, if placed on earth, take up a generous portion of Eurasia and also out-mass the moon.

It's presumptuous to assume everyone's made out of flimsy flesh and blood.


Con Negation is a power that negates Cons. Should I make a power to negates the negation of con negation?

I think we had this problem with powers that neutralized power neutralizing powers.

It just gets stupidly recursive. Not to mention a bit unfair, having a power that doesn't work on dozens of powers just because someone doesn't like it.

I don't see why it needs to be "remedied". Unless of course we're letting a roleplay on the forums dictate what powers are and are not appropriate for the site itself.

Alright, I must ask, why were the "Wish List" and "Power Orphanage 2" threads merged? They each have a very different purpose.
