Yes the stradegy wouldn't work again.
That is why you simply come up with a new stradegy everytime you face someone with perfect immortality. |

*I* know what is... MythPower: Iapetos' Scorn... makes you mortal until the power is no longer in use (or permanently, depending on how strong the ability is)

Really... So the fact that good strategists can find new ways to temporarily defeat the Perfect Immortal, even if it takes time, is a problem. In that case, considering the nature of the power, will the Perfect Immortal adapt so that there's no longer any new strategies that can work?

Okay fine I will use your example
Rob has managed to annoy a nigh omnipotent girl named Alice. So, Alice teleports him to an immense system of caverns made of opaque black diamond and pins him to the wall with a spear made of adamantium. The cavern system is surrounded in every direction by miles and miles of an indestructible fortress-wall guarded by 40 foot tall rhinoid guards armed with electro-tridents and laser spears. This continent sized fortress is floating in a infinte sky-space inhabited by hordes of angry dragon-wyverns big enough to eat entire cities. This entire dimension-universe is contained in a marble sized indestructible crystal orb embedded deep in the chest of a 200 foot griffin that lives on a huge dessert planet trillions of light years away from any other planets. The universe it's in is from a multiverse that existed thirteen realities ago. Then Alice teleports away, leaving Rob pinned to the wall. Rob would adapt everything and gain the powers and adaptions based on everything they are exposed to. So if Alice Teleported them they would become immune to people forfefully teleporting them, they would gain the power to teleport, they would gain the ability to stop others from teleporting ect. They would also gain more adaptions and powers that I didn't list. Rob would also gain Alice's nigh omnipotence without cons. Rob would adapt to the wall of opaque black diamond, diamond would no longer be able to pierce them, they would gain the power to generate diamond, control diamond, become diamond, they would also gain the power to control any other form of earth, generate any other form of earth, sense where anything is on earth ect. and more adaptions and poweres I didn't list. Rob would adapt to the spear made of adamantime, he would become unpiercable by anything, he would also gain powers related to adanantime, he would be able to generate adamantime, complete control over adamantime, create adamantime constructs ect. He would also gain complete control over any metal, gain the ability to generate any metal, be able to transform into any metal and adamantium. Rob would adapt to the The cavern system is surrounded in every direction by miles and miles of an indestructible fortress-wall, he would be able to move at anyspeed, teleport anywhere, he would also gain the ability to render the indestructable fortress-wall destructabe, gain the ability to move threw solid objects, gain the ability to generate the indestructable matterial the fortress is made of and complete control over it ect. he would also gain more adaptions and powers I didn't list. He would adapt to the 40 foot tall rhinoid guards armed with electro-tridents and laser spears. He would gain near infinite strengh, staminia, speed, reflectes, and he is allready invurlnable to all types of harm, and intelegence and he would gain the ability to increase and decrease his size at will, he would also gain complete control over the electromagnetic spectrum. and many more adaptions and powers I didn't mention. He would adapt to the continent sized fortress floating in a infinte sky-space inhabited by hordes of angry dragon-wyverns big enough to eat entire cities, he would gain the ability to fly at anyspeed including infinite speed, gain the ability to be imposible to eat, he would also gain powers based on what he is exposed to such as he would gain the ability to generate his own infinite sky, he would gain dragon powers such as breathing fire, indestrucablilty, control dragons, summon dragons ect. He would also gain the power to eat anything ect. He would also gain the power to have complete control over the dragon-wyvers, gain the power to kill any dragon-wyverns ect. He would also gain other powers and adaptions I didn't list. He would adapt to the entire dimension-universe is contained in a marble sized indestructible crystal orb embedded deep in the chest of a 200 foot griffin that lives on a huge dessert planet trillions of light years away from any other planets. The universe it's in is from a multiverse that existed thirteen realities ago. He would gain the ability to control the universe, generate universes ect. He would gain the power to have complete control of the marble sized indestructable crystal orb, generate the indestructable crystal at anysize ect. He would gain the ability to teleport outside of the chest, gain complete control of the chest, and gain his own chest to trap people in ect. He would gain powers related to the griffin, massive knowledge and wisdom, gain the ability to use his fingers like talans ect. He would also gain the ability to control the 200 foot griffin, control other griffins, kill any griffin ect. He would also gain more adaptions and powers that I didn't mention. He would adapt to Alice teleporting away, he would gain the power to control where she teleports to, know where she teleports, teleport where she does, stop her from teleporting. He would also adapt to Alice he would gain the ability to not be affect by her limited omnipotence, take away hero limited omnipotence, and if Rob want's permantly take away her limited omnipotence. He would also gain anypowers Alice has or had without cons. He would also gain more adaptions and powers that I didn't list. He would also keep all of his adaptions and powers. |

Yes, they would make it so that every new stradegy from that person wouldn't work.
That is why team work helps becasue that way if the perfect immortal adapts so that all your new stradegys wouldn't work you can simply have someone else on your team come up with a new stradegy for you. |

so basically, you adapt to become omnipotent?

Actualy Perfect Immortality prevents the power from being cancled, cured, scrambled no matter what and since Mythpower: laptos scorn cancels it it wouldn't work.

You adapt to become nigh omnipotent in that situation.
If you are in the right situation you would adapt omnipotence. Sense no one has added nigh omnipotence or omnipotence to the list adapting nigh omnipotence or omnipotence wouldn't matter in the battle area. |

No, you misunderstood. Considering the fact that new strategies can be found to temporarily defeat them. Will the power make them adapt so there are no longer any strategies that can work even temporarily? So, in the end, no strategies at all will succeed, even temporarily. And I mean an adaptation that makes you invulnerable to any strategies to come.

OH, so he adapts to omniscience as well? Shamity-shame...

Yes it is possible that would happen overtime or it would happen if everybody kept using stradegy against him.
If multiple used stradegy again someone with perfect immortality they would gain the power to counter every new stradegy but that would take time. It would also be possible that would happen if everybody used stradegy against him so he adapts to make it so that everybody who tried new stradegy wouldn't work. Both cinareos are unlikely or would take lots of time. |

Yes but knowbody in the battle area will have omnipotence or omniscience so it is unlikely he would gain those powers in the battle area.

its still a Mary-Sue power, because you automatically get stronger than anybody you face... that's an unfair advantage, undeserving of a user. Therefore, it should be changed to include automatic adaptations and anything that otherwise Mary-Sue-ifies it...

Seriously, how do you expect to win against someone with Perfect Immortality in the Battle Arena? If their life bar is going down, even a little, they will just adapt so that their life bar will stay full forever!
