Okay, but I'm still gonna try to hang onto the Jester, maybe a less powerful version.
How about this, it's more of a psychological torture but still. A flipbook prison. In this one, your only allowed to move for one second the first time, then you start at the beggining again and experience the second you already moved, and are given an extra second to add another action, then you start over again and relive the first two seconds, and are given a third second to act, then you start over again and relive the first three seconds and are given a fourth second to act...and so on into eternity. You may only commit a new physical action at the last second of each replay, but you mind remembers all of it and can think freely.

Huh? That'd be terribly confusing. Or at least really tedious. And if we're going to RP it, nobody would want to do it.
I just think my way is fun and unpredictable; spontaneous. Just think about it; you wake up, after a long time of unconsciousness, and look around, only to see that you are in an open prison cell, will the roof torn partly away, and the sky shines in, tinged rusty red. Above you, you see that monstrous beasts fly overhead, and in the distance you make out noises that are clearly human screams. What do you do? Try to find a way out, or figure out your new surroundings? Oh, it'd be so much fun, in that mischievous and adventurous way.

I call that Tuesday...
Okay how about this. A world composed of the most horrible monstrous creatures that have yet to seen the face of the sickest part of the darkest imagination of those in an insane asylum. Every minute or so your surroundings forfcibly absorb into your being so that you turn partially into whatever is closest to your vacinity this includes animate and inanimate objects.. Eventually your mind will begin to erode as you lose what's left of yourself.

And how is that so much worse than what I proposed? The idea is for an ADVENTURE, not a "kill-em-from-the-start" kind of torture chamber. And don't put down my ideas like I'm so mundane, the horrors get worse as you go along, OBVIOUSLY, otherwise, it would get VERY boring, VERY quick.
EDIT: The ACTUAL dimensions I designed (YEARS ago) really ARE that dangerous; I just don't think it would work for an RP... (if that's what we're doing...)

Sorry, I"m not trying to put down your Ideas or anything, I think that their pretty good. Now that I see that your not going for as much as a prison planet and more of a challenge planet I think I see where your trying to go with this. So your looking for a planet that won't kill/drive insane/mutilate them from the start, just an incredbly inhospitable environment that we would be suddenly dropped in.

My prison-----
It would actually be an illusion world All your original acquired superpowers are negated---however you can wish for anything in the illusion world and get it in the guise of items---yes superpowered items----however you are limited by 1 extra item a day---no omnipotence items/virtual omnipotence/omniscience etc. only stuff like armor and some weapons Also you can wish for food and water anytime you want. You start out with 3 items of choice---these can not be stolen or negated---but they can not be omnipotence items or virtual omnipotence/reality bending The item you wish for has to be allowed(by the host---which is me) before it appears in front of you. The only way to escape is to find the guard which is in your illusion world------there will be several characters in your world----you need to figure out which is the guard---I will create those Npc's myself I will add activities and quests into the prison world to distract you from finding the guard----I'll make it so that it is time-consuming----during the events you will have to find out a little more about the NPC's to determine which one is a guard. If you choose wrong then I'll tell you who the guard was and reshuffle the world---and a new guard will be chosen---ie. all new NPC's Once one of the group escapes they can choose 2 options-----save themselves or enter someone else's illusion world to help them escape. The guard either lets you go see your friends or you have to fight them to escape If you choose option 1 then you will have to do a boss fight(alone)---don't worry I'll make the boss a challenge If you choose option 2 you can get more help then confront the boss---ie you team up with someone else. If you save everyone before fighting the boss that is an insta-win. Maybe a little tedious but oh well. And just to add a little spice there is also an assassin in your illusion world that I will periodically send to distract you---these people have superpowers---as opposed to items and if you beat them you can gain their power To be fair----you get to choose what power they have---no omnipotence etc.---and you can use them anytime---it would be best to choose something that can help you spy etc. to find the guard. The point of this prison is to keep you so occupied that you can't escape |

@Jester: Well, they are prison dimensions, but the prison is filled with challenges, and the possibility of escape.
@Wish: I like your idea; it's a challenge, but I'm not sure if it would suffice for it just to be an illusion world. What if a person chooses the ability to see beyond illusions? Then they would be capable of seeing who the guard is, or something... That's why I chose to limit the worlds to either only MAINSTREAM powers, or NO powers at all. I think those would add to the challenge greatly. But, you know, either way fits me. Whichever everyone else prefers. Either your illusory world, or my four combined dimensions. However, if they choose my four combined, the only true way to lose would be by dying (duh) or going to the Tower of Dis and choosing the door that leads to Vas Erebus (the empty plane from which there is no escape). Other than that, there's no true agenda set aside, but at least it'd be guaranteed that you'd never get bored. Either you'd be running from a swarm of bats, or outrunning a pack of wild dogs, or staving off centaur assassins. You choose the terrors and try your best to fight them off, or escape them. And it would be governed in the same way as the Evolutionist's Stone RP (whoever has an idea can post it, but must also be respectful of the ideas and concerns of others), which I think is a very efficient system. Otherwise, if we can't choose to use your option OR my option, why not try to come up with a compromise combining the best of both?

Okay, can I still use a less powerful version of the Jester ability.

Can it be Mainstream-ified?

No idea: Here's what it includes
Hand of creation, Hand of Destruction, Eye of creation, Eye of destruction, ultimate upgrade, extremely limited use of the other spirits abilities.

Well, what can they each do? Maybe I can help you figure it out, but I forget their functions.

hand of creation- Create matter- basically shows itself as a white flame, can be used to create any form of matter, and copy objects, however you have to know it's exact form down to the atomic structure, or be touching it at the time.
Hand of Destruction- destroy matter- basically shows it as a black flame, because it also destroys light. You eat through anything you touch like a corrosive acid, except the matter dissapears instead of melts. The denser the object the longer it stakes to eat through. Be careful though, if you do not balance it with the flame of creation your body may freeze from lack of heat. Eye of destruction- dispells illusions and allows you to see through objects. Eye of creation- gives form to things that are usually invisible, like spirits. Can also be used to cast illusions Ultimate Upgrade- Inject your aura into an item to turn it into a super spirit version for as long as you keep energy pumping into it. Extremely limited use of the spirit abilities- KIng- Ability to skew your own time and have small abilities in post cognition and precognition Queen- Phase shifting= intangibility, teleportation, cloning. Jack- transform yourself and others Ace- can interaact with spirits and rip someones soul out, when their taken by surprise

techniquely it's only one, if you want to be specific it's only three
Hands of creation and destruction- Ultimate upgrade is a combination use of the two of them together. Eyes of Creation and destruction Ultimate upgrade

Since that's the way the thread started, then you should keep it the way it was. We can't just scratch out the first posts, but Zale raised a good point. All you guys are so powerful, there aren't many, if any, courses of action left for anyone in a battle. And honestly, the discussion is becoming just like what happened with Alex and Perfect Immortality with everyone devising strategies to beat a PI, only to have Alex saying it won't work because blah blah blah or yes, it works but temporarily and it won't work again.
|
can anyone reference this Alex thing that you guys are talking about, I have no idea what this thread you keep mentioning is...

Skim over this...
Anyway, He was a person who had an ability that was nigh-in-frickin-possible to beat... Perfect Immortality.. Look below for an example of what it could get out of..
He poofed and got all the powers of everyone and got out.. Just, "I ADAPTED DERP!" It got on everyone's nerves alot.

If I was with you guys at the time I would hae done this.
"Screw it I trap Rob in Nothing. Literaly. It's empty. No space, no time, no matter no anything, Only Rob, He's his own freaking dimension by himself, without anything to adapt to. Therefore He ceases to do anything but exist." Problem solved.
