But if the state of nature itself is evil then that does mean that the core of humanity itself is evil as well. you can continually carve a rock until it becomes a beuatifull work of art, but at it's heart it is still a rock, just as you can polish and adorn a sword until it is barely recognizable, but at it's heart it is still an instrument of death. The power of mortality and free will, is not irradicating oneself of said evil, but using it, and turning the power that would be used for the baser instincts into a force that can be used for good.
