Crescent sucks in air quickly, saying a phrase anime-style, "Titanic... Devastation!" As she breaths out, a cone of combined fire, ice, sound and lightning rip towards the enemy. Simultaneously, she utilizes the Silver Crescent Fang's Divinity Nova and the World Blade's Essence Supernova to cause twin explosions against the being's wave of power. ========================== I finish my spell simultaneously with Kiki and Mayumi to unleash an upgraded version of Final Fantasy's Ultima spell three times simultaneously.

(I may be busy these two days but I'll do what I can to help us finish this now . Sorry I was not able to react in time to the nuclear attack.)
I point out my sword towards the main consciousness of the foreign mind and focus the energies of the Omni-Elemental on Halo's tip. The golden energy obscures the blade and grows out wildly as the power of the Labyrinth Virus courses through my form. The growth is so rapid that it cuts a rift and forms its own dimension rather than filling up around the area in which we fight. I let the oncoming fire flow into the rift so that my allies can pierce through with their attacks.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Seeing my mental attacks are not accomplishing anything, I gather a special weapon to use as a last resort. It could finish the being quickly, but being unfinished and untested, it may not work and it may have dire consequences. If I cannot use the weapon effectively, I will offer it to another who may be able to use it.
(It is already Christmas over here, so I'm preparing a quick finish if needed, but not an easy one with the lack of certainty and the potential side effects ).

(That's fine. I've been meaning to end this ordeal for a while.)
As the attacks soared forth, the creature prepared to blast them aside... when I acted. Moving at speeds that made light a slug, a tendril of energy jabbed at it. Pitifully weak, hardly accurate, but just distracting enough to divide it's attention. The mighty blows tore into it like a passenger plane ripping through a breeze. Before it had been annoyed. Now it was hurt. It teetered slightly, bits and pieces of it draining off as it struck out drunkenly, like a injured animal moving to maim.

The flaming torrent tossed at me is unrelenting, in body mind and spirit. Still, I muster through, as best I can, building up layers of physical, psychic and spiritual resistance. Then, taking after Crescent's example, I utter, anime-style, in Wulf Form, "Wulf's Cry!"
And on exhalation, there is unleashed a monstrous howl, combining that of every werewolf warrior and sage, living dead, ever since the original wereclans of Celadon. Along with it is intermixed the energy of the wild, and the pure, unmitigated force of feral rage. If all goes well, the cry will penetrate Zale's mind, body and soul.

(@Wulf: That was Crescent who cried out the attack's name, not Dryad Knotwood. Thought you'd like to know for accuracy)
Taking the moment to concentrate once more, Crescent takes the opportunity to fire one last attack, her finishing blow: the Twilight Volley. Hundreds of orbs of mixed white and black energy circle around her before launching off to strike the creature once more.

Allowing on mind to further refine the weapon, I throw myself into the brawl, attacking by pulling all nearby objects in, charging them with explosive energy and then hitting the target with the force of a moving freight train for each object.

( Kay, thanks. I forgot you said you would replace Dryad soon...)
I continue my physical, mental and spiritual strikes at all side. The howl reverberates through the air full force, the telekinetic and other-kinetic attacks persist with great gusto, and my attacks from the Astral Realm are unrelenting. And as the howl can continue by itself, with no need to be uttered from my voice any longer, I decide to launch another attack. I rear back, stomping all four paws respectively onto the ground, My tail begins to rotate, generating massive hurricane force, and as that wind circulates through the room full-force, I shake off like a dog fresh out of water, generating massive seismic tremors, surpassing a 10 on the Richter Scale.

(I was going to wait for GV to post. And wow, it's been two days already? I was distracted reading.)
The constant rain of attacks finally begins to wear on the creature. The radiation of pain and weakening pulsed into it's greater soul. The Red Creature was, above all else, an adaptive thing. It could change to become the perfect predator towards anything. The thing is fought, the thing from which it was drawing energy was an intelligent being. Something of multiplex minds and distributed intellect. Something that required more advanced tactics than it had normally pursued. So it became smarter. Much smarter. But unlike it's prey, it was a central and focused mind. One of grand speed and sharpness. A mind like a sword fighting a mind like a swarm of angry bees. It fought... ..And won ground. Slowly but surely, it was winning. It was at this point when the pulse of pain from one of it's outer regions reached it. The spastic failings of it's limb had failed, curiously, to crush whatever it was assaulting it. Which meant it was something serious. Leaving the staggering mind of the Prey, it's mind shifted postions. It saw, sensed them, heard them, knew them. These strangers.. These new prey. Knowledge and senses pilfered from the First Prey gave it options. The Astral Realm abruptly winked out a it wretched control of the central control systems from the Prey. Waves of Anti-Psy, Anti-Magic, and Anti-Spirit radiated off it like the tolling bells of death. Ground, Water, Air itself ceased to exist. The world became a void of nothingness, crushing it it's empty hunger. Only it and the Prey remained. A thousand orbs danced towards it, and a thousand spears of light and darkness responded. Energy hissed through the vacuum towards all those that fought against it, designed to be resistant to the Phlebotinum-Crushing waves it emitted. Above all else, it's prey had been prepared to fight things that flew in the face of natural laws. By cheating.

(That last part...the rest was good, but I couldn't follow that last part. The Red Beast is sending attacks at us from behind? Summoning reinforcements? Turning our attacks against us?)
(BTW: I'll delete this, and your response. I don't want to disrupt your arc, for any future potential readers)

She'd been prepared to fight on natural ground and supernatural attacks, but when the ground disappeared, Crescent was a little surprised and was blasted back before stopping her unintended flight as her highly acidic blood flies toward the aggressor. She would, if anything, show why the Shigemoto household was feared by even gods (mostly minor ones, but still) as godslayers. As the strongest in generations, she was going to show that being the power that she held. On her back, fairy-like wings (similar in appearance to those of Leafa's from SAO) appear as her level of power increases and Crescent counters the previous strike with her own blast of force using her own power and that of the World Blade's.
========================== I quickly form a barrier taking the brunt of the damage as Kiki and Mayumi counter: Kiki with several Teravolts of electricity and Mayumi with several 100g of force.

(You all were beating up a small part of it, and it just started paying attention. Now it's fighting intelligently, starting by removing any conceivable methods of fueling attacks. And yes, it's sending them sling shooting at every possible angle.)

The Red Creature simply ignored most of the feeble attacks.
Acidic blood drifted lazily towards it in the void. It would take several minutes to reach.. Besides, It was a creature of roiling energy and primordial flame, punctuated by the scattered globule of a plasma for varieties' sake. Acid would be about as effective as trying to stop a forest fire by throwing a pebble into the flames. The electricity and force, while far more swift, were also poor choices. Force would move matter, but the little matter it had was so ethereal and scattered that the attack had no more effect than causing a pond sized ripple in something large enough to intimidate galaxies. And, quite frankly, using energy on a creature composed mostly of energy was like fighting a hurricane with a stiff breeze. However, the large and ferocious slice of exotic energy rippled into it, causing a sudden surge of hissing pain before it allowed itself to flow around the attack like water and allow it to pass through without actually coming into physical contact with it. It cataloged it's options and created a solution. Arcane Symbols spidered across it's mind as it pilfered a genre-appropriate response. A tendril pointed towards the sword-bearer. Hellbat

Crescent frowns as she notes the lack of response to the others' attacks upon the being and its withstanding of her attacks. It was rare that anything could withstand her attacks other than her cousin Saki, but then that was a whole 'nother matter... Switching gears, she begins using her full speed to jump around randomly, firing off random attacks with the energy from World Blade in the form of its Essence Supernova.
(Magic BTW is nearly useless on a Shigemoto. Has to do with their being made to be godslayers... Thought it would be good to mention, especially since Crescent's SR would be almost 700k in D&D and she's capable of 19 actions each round, 1 of which has to be a move action)

(Can I see the full build somewhere? I'd love to show it to this D&D forum I frequent just to see the gaping horror.)
(Also, I Could Accept That As A Challenge.) A new spell clicked into mental place as the Red Creature bobbed and weaved like a ribbion flapping in a gale to avoid as much of the painful attacks as it could. Several searingly painful areas were struck none-the-less. Forcecage.

(I'll put it up in the thread where we had Crescent fight your Rakshasas after I get some sleep, finish all the after-Christmas shopping with my mother AND the overnight sleepover I have from Dec 29-31. Oh grief, that's a lot.)
As the forcecage starts to form around her, Crescent quickly forms and lets off her own spell (Dispell, caster lvl 137,680), continuing with her relentless assault. (Enlightened and Ensorcelled cosmic abilities. Allow her to cast infinite spells each day as well as know every spell in her home universe)

Realizing my latest creation is useless, after finally finishing and testing it, I condemn it to the hall of treasures.
Instead, after analyzing the creature, I find that it hungers for...something. Energy? Possibly worth a shot. I called out to my fleet, heavily compromised with only the city-ships and the vessels extremely close the them at the time the creature began to truly fight back still existing, accelerated to my current location and began an orbital bombardment the likes of which has never been seen, with several new types of energy weapons. The goal is not to destroy the creature, but to feed and peacefully contain it after isolating the form of energy upon which this entity feeds. As a safety measure, I order my generals to be ready to evacuate to a personal realm should anything go wrong. I also make the other spacecraft remain within the city ships' defense field, in order to be protected from threats such as reality warping, temporal manipulation and telepathy. I enter The Door* in order to keep myself protected from threats, including the devastation which shall result from my fleet.

Ah forget it.
I feel like sometimes none of you bother reading what I put out. I'm tempted to just say "Then he exploded. The End." Not like anyone'll notice. Just like Shad and Dryad failed to read the previous post about where they were. Let's just end this so we can get back to the lighthearted shenanigans.
