New Beginning 21: Awesomeness Revisited

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

I follow the 3 servant(?) of Zale with Kiki and Mayumi following slightly behind. Later, I'd have to question the newcomer, but it should prove interesting.

Crescent walks along with all the others. She was quite curious as to what items she may find in the building and during the fighting.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Treasure awaits and I'm on a timetable." The Vault exclaims, following along.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Crescent looks right at Vault, "If there is treasure that we can plunder here, I would like to look at it too. Especially, if one or two items from the hoard were made by my ancestors."

[Zaleramancer]

"I don't think that's the best idea. Plundering that is. If you can prove it's yours, or even ask nicely, I'm sure an arrangement could be made. You'd be better off stealing from a dragon though. They'd be more merciful." The new comer holding the jewel said in a kind, if distracted voice. She glanced from hallway to hallway, then tugged the Sorceress's sleeve and pointed down one.

The group began down that one, the Vizier finally standing by himself.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Does that mean I'd have to look and check every item of his?" Crescent asks. "Great! Why my ancestors had to make everything from brooches to breeches, I'll never know."

[Zaleramancer]

"Just ask he knows where everything in here is. Very into organized chaos."

Far down the crooked hall, something glowed.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

"Is that so? I'm probably going to have to describe the magical aura of the items to him then..." Crescent grumbles. "Is that glow our destination?"

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Yes, when are we reaching the destination?" The Vault said, remembering how things had worked in the subway.

[Zaleramancer]

"Now."

The hall split to show a grand and glowing door, carved with shifting images and glittering facades.

One of those leading muttered something about showing off as the three approached the door.

"We desire entrance." The sorceress said to the door.

A spark glinted from the door and danced around the three before flying back to the door.

Creaks and whistles echoed down as the doors split. A rush of sound came through the short looking passage behind it, the sound of voices and cheers and yelling. The sound of an entire crowd of people.

"This way, please." The sorceress said, moving towards the bright light at the end of the hall.

I follow, worried about what the numerous voices at the end of the hall could mean.

Crescent walks along, her only concern that the voices could mean innocent lives were within however, if she had to kill, then so be it. She would nothing stop her from finding her ancestors' creations.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

The Vault brushes past the pair of woman to take the lead, Cheshire grin plastered across his face.

[Zaleramancer]

The light shines and fades to reveal a grand Colosseum opening up below. The hall had opened up near the top, backmost and entirely vacant seats.

Further forward, the seats were dominated by the huge bawdy crowd.

A purple sun shone down upon a crowd of myriad kinds. No two creatures or sitting, crouching or hovering over the seats were the same, or even similar. People who looked as if born from Auroras chatted with men made of metal. Humanoid butterflies argued with green haired teenagers. Twisted creatures who the eyes watered to look at muttered to seeming normal businessmen.

The only thing they had in common was color coding. All those near the NB crew had a subtle blue motif. Clothing or skin or hair or magic. But those farther away were colored with a bloody red.

It seemed that there were many more red than blue, glancing out at the crowded colosseum.

The center of the Colosseum was dominated by two many armed figures, one red and one blue, who were grappling hand in hand.

"We will take our leave now." Said the Vizer, nodding at Taika." Other than the sorceress here that is. My talents lie elsewhere."

Both faded back into the light, leaving the Sorceress behind.

She glanced out at the crowd.

"It seems he is loosing quite rapidly."

"They're quite unable to remain without harm. The rest of you are powerful enough to survive the ambient energies without even noticing.

[Philote]

"I thought you were brining us to where Zale was?" I ask "Is he one of those here or perhaps this is a representation of his mind?"

[Zaleramancer]

"Technically speaking, He is all of these." She said, "Except for the red monster in the middle."

"Most of him could be said to be in the center, battling. All of these people are aspects or masks used to interact with various worlds and people."

"One of the ones you know is bound to be here somewhere. What was it like?"

[Philote]

My descriptive skills are unmatched

[Zaleramancer]

"Ah, Zero."

She turned and tapped one of the creatures on it's horned head, then whispered something to it.

A wave of whispers and words came as they whispered between one and other.

Then a tall, lanky brown haired youth popped out of the crowd and started making his way to the people.

"Let's see how useful it is, cut off from the core."

[Philote]

I wait for the Zale we are most familiar with to travel close to the group.

"Greeting Zale. You could of left the door open for us if you were going to get into so much trouble."

"What is this red creature that the other you fighting? Should we jump in as well?"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

I look out on the fight, "That is a good question, Phi. But here's another question: How did the red creature get into you Zale?"

Crescent looks over the combatants. It didn't look or feel like either was using any of her ancestors' items but they could still be hiding them. She certainly wasn't interested in anything else, not yet.

[Zaleramancer]

"I was studying a small, collapsing universe behind some sort of barrier. The thing managed to enter my lab through my viewing portal."

I shrug.

"Now I can't quite get it to leave. Normally, I'd smush it, but it managed to wiggle inside my mentality because of the location."

"But you guys aren't mind infected or anything. So you should be able to smash it, so long as you keep the critter out of your heads."

I glance out at the struggling fighters. They ripple like a mirage.

"Hold on, here comes a paradigm shift!"

The entire Colosseum rippled as the two fighters became something new.

A huge battered looking blue dragon breathed fire at a small red knight.

"Preferably quickly. I'm about to loose."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Crescent draws the katana at her waist revealing a silvery-white blade with a wavy water-like pattern, "Very well, I will help, but I do request that I be given the chance to look through every single, individual magical item you own."

Her edges blur and she disappears before reappearing behind the knight, her blade slicing through the air at his neck.

I begin chanting the words to spell, Kiki backing me up as the backup caster.
