Hearing the creature run something seemed off I look around to find why it ran. Placing my beast's mask my senses become heightened with my strength and speed.

The skinny creature hides behind the large pale one. Nothing seems to be chasing it, but it stares fearfully at everything in sight.

Calming myself down I look to both of the creatures and place some food in front of myself to earn their trust.

"I see. So then the binding that is holding you here, how exactly does it work? All the details please if you can answer the question."

The dark skinny creature peers over the large pale one, still examining Cabanilla with apprehension.

However, the pale ursine has no problems. It reaches over with a calm and amiable expression, dragging food towards it's mouth.

Rebbeca snaps her fingers and light flares.

Lines appear on the floor and walls of the room. They glow with blue arcane energy, wrapped in complex patterns and runes.

Centered around the throne where the sorceress sits is a pentacle.

"Nasty piece of work. The pentacle keeps me bound here. It's personalized to me with sympathetic magic and actually drains off my energy to feed into the surrounding spells." She indicated the glyphs and designs outside of the pentacle, "Uses my power to fuel what imprisons me."

 Well, that was efficient.

Apparently it doesn't like yarn, or catnip.

Putting some food on the palm of my hand I offer it to the creature trying to create some trust between myself and the animal.

I bend down to inspect the runes and glyphs as Mayumi and Kiki do the same.

I walk down the alley.

The alleyway opens up to a street in a state of disrepair. Crumbling multi-story buildings line the cracked asphalt and abandoned cars clutter up the street.

It shakes in sheer and utter terror for no apparent reason.

[Zaleramancer]

The complex and arcane symbols almost seem to dance in your vision.

I study the symbols as well as I can before attempting to use HUD Vision on them.

I use the knowledge I gained earlier when I scanned one of the plant creatures and ask them what the story is behind these statues.

Information floods your vision. Power flows, voltages and surplus locations and specifics on various runes.

The felines stir briefly before the plant people respond.

A taciturn flicker of words is all that you receive.

"Interesting. So what will happen, if I do this?"

I form a small sphere of energy and fire it into one of the surplus areas.

[Zaleramancer]

The lines flared and energy surged towards the pentacle as the spell compensated for the increased power supply.

Rebecca regarded Dryad rather balefully.

"You are lucky the invader created this with stolen knowledge. If the boss had made it, the spells would be draining your mana away right now. He likes ridiculously complicated magic."
