The Sorceress, The Ninja, The Cherub or The Countess?

What can they all do?

Well, let's start with the most powerful. <Generic fantasy name> The Cherub.

Cherubs aren't the little babies that float around poking angels.

At least not in one of my worlds. They are one of the Eight Primordial races, representing Fire. They have extreme control over that element, to the point that they could raze large cities with a fair degree of ease. Not to mention that in their normal forms, they are twenty foot giants with fiery wings, skin like cooling lava and an aura of heat that could boil glaciers.
 However, the scariest thing about them is their intelligence. They are knowledgeable to the extreme, as well as highly observant.

 Those who devote themselves to war are veritable masters of it. There's no weapon they don't know how to use. There's no tactic they don't know. There is no style of fighting they can't unravel by watching.

Entire armies have been known to disband at the sight of a Warrior Cherub approaching.


The Sorceress is a cold customer. Her name is Rebbeca, and she rules the north-dwelling Hurdle-folk. She's called the Winter Queen by many. Her magic revolves around not only freezing things, but shifting ice into various shapes. Despite her rather.. aggressive nature, she prefers not to descend into the melee if at all possible.

Rebbeca is considered one of the top ten most potent mortal mages of the current age.


Ren is a ninja. A pyrokentic ninja who loves advanced tech. She's incredibly agile, a skilled fighter, and wields weapons both magical and technological. Bombs and Mystical Ninja swords. Laser-guided shurikens and paralyzing darts. She may not pack the extreme power of magic, but she gets along just fine.

The Countess Jocosa is a member of the Fey. They come from the same world as the Cherub, though they aren't quite as powerful. The Fey are born of dreams and wind. In their natural form they are mostly magical energy held in a barely solid form. Because of this, they use magic as easily as breathing- as well as with more raw power than any mortal mage could manage. Jocosa in particular is fond of shapeshifting and illusionary tactics. Unlike others of her kind, she also pays some attention to her physical prowess (For her assumed body, anyway). As such, she's stronger and tougher than one of normally frail Fey. Her speed is very impressive, like all Fey.

Commentor: "This is a fight between the Fourth strongest student at Mars Combat Academy, the nine-year-old half-yukionna Murakami Yukihina, and an angel of the Cherub rank. We are now taking bets at an even 1-to-1!"

He's not an angel, silly.

A Cherub ranked Angel would easily annihilate your character. Unless she managed to out run it.. And those are called Cherubim.

But whatever.

"And here he come. Meet Taot, Warrior Cherub."  

A large humanoid figure wreathed in heat and possessing of fiery wings approaches.

Hail. It is my hope that this shall be an informative battle for all of us.

As the Cherub introduces himself, two portals open up. One is in the stands and out of it comes the Top Ten and the Heads. The other portal is in the arena and out of it comes a female child in a traditional kimono.

Female child: "Hello, I am Student Rank number 4 Murakami Yukihina 'The Scythe of Snow' of Mars Combat Academy. My favorite food is extremely spicy curry. What's yours?"

[Zaleramancer]

I require sustenance only when injured. During such a time, I favor the rather exotic foods the Fey produce.

[Philote]

We will start it after this fight,

Murakami sighs.

Murakami: "I see. That's sad. Eating is one of the good things in life, the other is ... FIGHTING! KORI HARI!"

As she yells, needles of ice form in the air around her.

Murakami: "Let's get this fight on the road!"

[Zaleramancer]

Very well

He draws his sword and an aura of flames whips up around him.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Murakami steps back startled. She hadn't been told about THIS. She looks up towards the stands and shouts.

Murakami: "Hey, Lightning Troll!"

Lightning Troll: "Yeah? What?"

Murakami: "I was told that I was fighting a Cherubim not a Fire Elemental! What is this?"

[Zaleramancer]

You were mistaken. I am not an Angelic being. I am a Cherub, one of the eight Primordial races.

We represent the Promethean aspect of fire. Enlightenment, Learning, Innovation.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Murakami glares at Lightning Troll for a second longer then looks back at her opponent.

Murakami: "He's so gettiing it when this fight is over. Now I have to switch strategies."

The needles disappear as a katana appears in Murakami's hand.

Murakami: "Let's start off with my Soulsword. Shatter, Ogama."

The katana turns into a scythe and Murakami expertly spins it in her hands as more spinning scythes appear around her. (Gotta love Scythe Manipulation)

Murakami: "Heh. Come at me Fire Elemental!"

[Zaleramancer]

Intriguing. I have only had the pleasure of meeting a few Scythe Wielding warriors.

Taot tilts his head and then shakes his sword. The fiery weapon dissolves into shimmering sparks and then reforms as a bow. The Cherub raises his wings and then takes flight.

With a glance, he measures the distance between him and Murakami, and raises his bow.

Three flaming arrows fly towards her.
