I've always wanted to this. My body splits into hundreds of tiny crystal scarabs that spread out to survey the surrounding area.

I fly in beside Bug, "What seems to have caused this mess here?"

There! I see it! The source of the problems! Just briefly, between dodging a motorbike and a car windscreen, I saw what looked like a living shadow flitting between Starbucks and Greggs. A living shadow. That's apparently homicidal. And more than likely out to get me.

Great.

Ugh, I think, as I soupify a lamppost aimed at my head, where did all these bugs come from?

Suddenly, seeing that the shadow is momentarily distracted, I strike. Drawing matter from a circular radius around it, I instantaneously soupify and manipulate a dome over the shadow. Super chilling the outside to solidify it, I begin superheating the inner walls, turning them from liquid, to gas, to superheated plasma. The dome gets larger and larger as I replenish the outer walls, and the inner chamber becomes blindingly bright.

A shadow, trapped in a scorchingly hot, brilliantly bright dome of soup with no darkness? Get out of that one.

Who says soupification is a dull power?

(I wonder what soup plasma tastes like... I should start a restaurant...)

Meanwhile, I reform my body.

I turn my head for a second toward a voice calling my name, and my concentration is broken.

A vicious, vengeful, enraged (but hopefully weakened) shadow bursts through my makeshift dome, making a beeline for my throat.

I turn just in time for my view to be smothered by it.

How do you wrestle with darkness...?

"Great, see this is what happens when ya' let your shadow loose." I conjure up an intense beam if white light and fire it towards the shadow.
