The story of an transformed inanimate object that is trying to live as a human would be really cool to read.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

A refrigerator tries desperately to fill itself, dies stuffing itself with food.

A fan spends all it's time spinning it's arms and blowing.

A blender...

I've just realized that the blender is the spree killer of the appliance world.

That is awesome in such a sad/entertaining way.

Now I want to play a blender turned human, to create comedic sociopathy a la Beklar.

I'm loving this idea more every minute. A secret government taskforce is tasked with keeping this little hiccup in the universe normal proggraming from being found out. So, they lock away anything that has been affected in hopes that they can one day fix them. However, they really don't like being locked up, so a few attempt to escape.

Adventure ensues.

Yeah, why not?

First of all we must create a clear and defined basis for this plot. Who is locking morphs up, why are they morphing, how are our hereos involved, what do our heroes want to accomplish and most importantly How did it all begin?

The MIB are locking them up.

Or whatever alphabetical organization is in charge of keeping the public from seeing things that would disturb them.

Some sort of privately or UN funded organization, designed to study "Reality Glitches" such as morphic field overlapping and other harmful things. Why morphing happens is not totally understood, but seems to occur most prominently in those who have angst about their nature and self worth. However, since it also occurs with animals and objects it is unknown what the exact triggers are.

Eh, that seems a bit simplistic. Besides, the MIB is for aliens. I hoping for a bit more.

I lik the idea of them being international. How do you think the protagonists should be involved?

The Morphs are treated as humanly as possible, while still being imprisoned against their will. At least, those that are sentient. They are not, however, the most dangerous thing the institute is tasked with studying. One day, they lose containment on one of the more dangerous things and it proceeds to do something to the space of the facility, transforming it into a labyrinth and causing full containment breach of all the things they were holding.

This is the perfect opportunity  for the Sentient morps to make a break for it, survive the dangers of the warped facility, and walk out into the sunlight again.

What do you think the Foundation is? When you call someone an MiB, you mean they work for a clandestine organization that's above the system and usually deals with weird stuff.

Dark Suits, Sun Glasses.

No one knows who they work for, or why.

Such is the nature of the Men in Black.
