This thread is for comments on a little idea I had. It may become an RP, but I'm also considering it for a story. I would like some help and comments to flesh out the idea and some characters for it. Here's the basis for it...
Every character will have the ability to transform or "morph" into one object. The object can be anything from a weapon or a vehicle to a plant, animal or other everyday object. Characters can change at will between their human form and their Morph. Some forms also have half way transformations that give you advantages from both your human form and your Morph. Also, some forms can control parts of themselves while in Morph form such as a gun firing itself or a vehicle driving itself. The plot goes something like this. An artifact that lets you change into any shape was found. It was then fought over by two factions the fight caused the artifact to shatter and it's energies released into the city it resided in. Many people within the city gained the ability to change into a single form. Now the two factions are recruting the newly created "morphs" to collect the broken shards of the artifact that were somehow scattered. I'm still adding to this but it's the general overview. The "evil" faction will be called The Sons of Newearth and I haven't thought of a name for the "good" faction. Feel free to ask questions and throw out some ideas.

Anyway, Shadow I'm leaning more towards combat medic/pheromone chick. For a plant person.
I will have my attempt at a character idea up in a sec..
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Thinking of becoming a copper thread coil...
“…Judge not what a man has done, but judge what he could have done if he was a different bloke altogether. For art thou a leper? And a leper can changeth his spots…” --Rudy Wade, Misfits (Series 4, Episode 8)

I'll also make some bad guys for Marv to play with, if he wants.

Anyway, there should probably be about three different possible forms (Exceptions are expected).
The normal form with no powers, or just weak ones. The hybrid, which has some fairly powerful abilities and allows for a the advantages of a humanoid form. The Morph, which is non-humanoid but has the most powerful abilities.

<Name Pending>
Morph: Lavender Plant Normal Mode In her normal form, <Name> is a somewhat short and tanned young woman with long brown hair. - No special strengths or weaknesses Hybrid Mode When using her hybrid form, <Name> takes on some plant-like traits. To her dismay, she looses more than a foot in height. Her skin takes on the glossy green color of a plant, while her long hair becomes purple lavender blossoms. If that was not distressing enough, her mouth vanishes along with a certain degree of ease of movement. Strengths -Scent Production <Name> is capable of using her hybrid form to produce many different scents, often to show her feelings. These scents have no real combat effect other than making things smell odd. -Regeneration Not to be confused with rapid healing abilities, this ability does not greatly increase the speed of healing. Instead, it allows <Name> to recover from most wounds by regeneration the damaged tissue over the course of weeks to months. Because of the way this works, it can be used to regrow lost limbs or organs. -Serene Aroma Calling on the calming properties of her Morph, <Name> may emit an aroma that calms emotions and relaxes those around her. While this can take away some aggression, it rarely does more than inconvenience enemies. -Rejuvenating Fragrance Unlike the more sedate Serene Aroma , this fragrance is used to cleanse and mend wounds. It encourages the body to heal faster and more effectively than normal, as well has refreshing minds. -Plant Based Mental Projection If <Name> remains still and in physical contact with a plant for over half an hour, she may send her mind out through it. Her mind can go from plant to plant via root systems and other points of contact. However, <Name>'s mind can only use what limited senses are available to the plant her mind currently resides in and can not control or move the plant. If she is not able to find a point of physical contact between plants she can not transfer between them. Weaknesses -Plant Metabolism Like a plant, <Name>'s body moves at a slower rate than normal. Her speed and reaction time drops drastically and she looses a fair deal of flexibility. One possible benefit of this is that because of the speed her body goes at, she never has to worry about bleeding wounds. They begin to mend before they have a chance to. -Loss of Vocalization Due to her lack of a mouth in this form, <Name> can not speak. She is forced to rely on her scent producing abilities and pantomime to insure others understand her. -Smaller Size Her Hybrid form causes <Name> to shrink somewhat. She drops to around four feet. Because her body decreases proportionally in size, this results in her loosing some degree of physical strength. Full Form <Name> continues to shrink into a large clump of lavender. Because of the weaknesses this form causes, <Name> loathes to use it. Strengths . -Serene Aroma This ability becomes more intense, killing any kind of anger or aggression near <Name>. -Rejuvenating Fragrance This ability also advances, causing wounds to mend much faster. Minor wounds heal in mere hours and serious ones in days. -Plant Based Projection She no longer has to wait half an hour before using this ability. -Drowsy Perfume Related to the Serene Aroma, this drowsy scent causes exhaustion and sleepyness in most people. Weak willed people have been know to simply sleep when they smell it. Weaknesses -Regeneration This ability decreases in this form, as healing functions more slowly -Immobility Even as a somewhat animated plant, <Name> can not move more than centimeters in this form. Even a leaf wiggle is an effort. -Loss of senses In addition to her inability to speak, in this form her sense of touch and hearing are dulled. Smell and sight are surprisingly unaffected. -Very Small Size Even a large clump of Lavender is scarcely a foot across. Due to her immobility, her strength in this form is non-existent. -Fire Vulnerability Like most plants, fire can be a painful problem.
