Full Form: <Name> bends and shrinks into a bazooka.

Strengths
.
-Bazooka Blasts

<Name> is capable of firing missiles towards targets, though he requires someone to move him around to properly aim.

-Spatial Sense

While in Bazooka mode, <Name> can sense the distance between himself and other objects. This sense extends in all directions for about twenty feet.

I'll stick with porcupine
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Re: Morphs Idea Comments

This post was updated on .
Ezekiel Polk

There isn't really a word for what Polk is. The closest would probably be mercenary or career criminal. Robbery, murder, fraud, kidnapping, Polk had done it all for a bit of scratch. He'd never been that mastermind though. Polk was more of a fieldwork sort of guy, the one you sent out to club someone in the back of the head or riddle a storefront with bullets to draw the police away. Sometimes his job was to just stand silently behind his boss and smile at people. But that sort of job was boring.

You see, Polk enjoys his work. A lot. More than is healthy. The thought of a good fight, any kind of fight at all, gets him all a tingle. As a result, he's sort of between jobs at the moment. After all, no one wants to work with a psycho.

Appearance: Polk is tall and thin, with slicked back hair and an almost permanent 5:00 shadow. He enjoys wearing suits. He thinks they make him look dashing, but he's wrong. Most of them are ill-fitted.

Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8sBtl3WYZo

Morph: Handcuffs

Normal Mode: Polk has no formal training in hand to hand combat, but years of picking fights in the street have left him a very competent fighter. He is deceptively quick for how tall he is. He is also well versed in various firearms, although he is by not particularly good with any of them. If he had to pick a favorite type of battle, it would have to be the knife fight.

Hybrid Mode: Polk's hybrid form allows him to "Uncuff" his 4 fingers and thumb, tuning his hands into something resembling metal talons. These cuff fingers can be closed around something and locked, effectively tethering an opponent to Polk. However, the fingers are stiff metal and can only open and close. This means that Polk can not use a weapon in a hand that is a cuff.

Every body part between his two hands can be transformed into a chain, allowing Polk to dodge attacks by splitting apart. He can also use the chain to fire off his cuff hands and reel someone in. However, his control over the chain is limited to transforming into and out of it. He can not animate the chain parts of his body as if they were a snakes or something. This leads to a decrease in mobility and fine control whenever he decides to use the chain. He can also only split apart horizontally, not vertically.

Full Mode: A small pair of dirty handcuffs. Polk can move around slowly in this form, like an inchworm. The form also lowers his total mass, allowing him to survive falls and impacts that would kill a person.

Why are the baddies called the Sons of Newearth and what sort of setting does this take place in. How long has it been since the blast that gave everyone powers? It can't be to long, especially if you want shard gathering to be a major focus.

As for the good faction, how about the Gurwitsch Corporation? A corp trying to undo the mistakes they made by studying the artifact. The explosion caused a PR nightmare that they are trying to correct by very publicly sponsoring and bankrolling those braves morphs fighting against the Sons or Newearth and gathering shards.

The are called the Sons of Newearth because they wish to establish a new world order. It takes place in a post apocalyptic city. It starts almost immediatly after the blast.

Good idea for the good team

Post apocalyptic how? Nuclear Armageddon like Fallout? Disease like The Stand? Magic injected forcefully into a world that did not naturally contain it and now Earth has stopped rotating and physics is wonky, like Nier?

More like a city ravaged by wide spread riots and chaos caused by the blast. War has gripped the city and things are falling apart.

Oh. That's not post apocalyptic. That's more pre-apocalyptic or just general social breakdown. Only the inhabitants of the city get the morph powers, right?

How about they get their morph from what they were touching when they were hit with blast radiation. They sort of combind with it. So there are people who are daffodils, couches, deck chairs, you know, weak stuff. Then you got the lucky people who merged with fire trucks, guns, big animals, and even whole buildings.

I may just repurpose this RP with a completly differnt story and format while keeping the original idea of having a single morph.

I was thinking a kind of combination of Warehouse 13 and The SCP Foundation (from what I can tell it has a similar theme to it)

So, A group that finds Morphers and contains them?

We could all start in containment, then a disaster rolls through the facility allowing us to escape. It gives us all a reason to meet one another, and the whole first act could be the escape attempt.

That's certainly a possibility I hadn't thought of.  All I know is that I think the idea of locking up dangerous artifacts or creatures is a fun idea to build on.

Re: Morphs Idea Comments

It also opens up the possibility of the protagonist not being the strangest thing in the story.

Or have the morph power do different things on different people. The protags are the lucky ones, because they can change freely. Some are trapped in one form, or between, or begin to think like they're object. Or objects that become other objects, or people.

It could be like a glitch in reality that's being covered up. Sometimes something touches something else  and most of the time noting happens. But rarely, the morphic field of one of them gets confused and tries to take on the others shape.
