Hypatos returns from his journey throughout the building. "This place sure is odd. Nearly all of the rooms have nothing but chairs facing the empty walls. Maybe great exhibits of art lined these walls in ages past." He ponders for a moment on the subject before returning to the task of survival.

"We should board up as many entrances as we can, we do not want others walking in here as easily as we did. There is still the need of substance as well, we should send a team out to acquire food."

"Alright, well I'll go ahead and volunteer Alex and Rei for the team to head out for supplies" Hypatos tells the group "They will be the least likely of us to get caught and the rest of us will be able to guard the base."

"If you're going, take these." He slips the chains from around his neck and tosses them the Alex. "I don't now what they use for money here, but gold is pretty universal. Now, if you'll excuse me, I found a note from someone named Kilroy on the wall and I'm going to make sure he's not still here." Ammon bows his head and traipses off to see the rest of the building.

With the others headed off, Hypatos headed over to the Living Statue to begin his work. "Come on, it is time we started moving things around to block off all the extra entrances."

Hypatos leads his friend around and instructs him on how to best barricade the various openings to their dwelling. The two of them spend quite a while examining each of the rooms of the building, evaluating how to shift the furniture. The Living Statue did not seem to tire of the job and Hypatos had nothing better to do until Rei and Alex returned.

At one point, Hypatos has his ally break apart the big counter at the front of the building and use it to cover up the largest doors. The building was filled with plenty of cushioned chairs and Hypatos took the extras to cover up the windows. By the time the two were done with their work, only two entrances were left in the building. The first would be their main entrance, a door on the rear of the second floor which lead to a metal platform and ladder. The other entrance would be their emergence exit, a broken window that lead to the decorative balcony overlooking the main doors of the theater. The living statue would have to use his own exits, but he would be able to easily shift and replace the barricades after he used them.

"Hey guys" Said Ammon, walking around a corner, "Apparently, if we want a good time all we have to do is call...." He looked around at the impromptu barricades the others had put up. "Uhhhhhh...kind of excessive, don't you think?"

Ammon is stumped.

"What, you want to dig up the floor? Look man, as far as I can tell you're the only one here that has to sleep, so chances are someone is going to be watching your back at all times. And even if they catch you alone, that eye thing you have going on.....I'll be honest, it scares the piss out of me. There were curses in the tomb that didn't put out half as much power as your eyes. If I was still alive, I'd be dissolved or a an fish or whatever it is that your gaze does."

He walks up. "What I'm saying is, you can relax a little. But if it'll make you feel more at home, I'll dig ya a hole. Not in here though. They'll be able to here it in the street. Besides, I like this carpet. Meet me in the sitting room with the 'Jason and the Argonauts' sign above the door."

Ammon strolls away, calling back, "Big guy, a little help?"

His new allies clearly had not been hunted as he was before they were all dropped off in this new world. Then again, he never had so many allies in the old world, maybe he was actually safe with all these other mythos around him.

Well, the walls were barricaded, that would have to be enough for today. "Wait, I'll come with you" Hypatos calls before going off to relax for the first time with the others.

Re: Monsters On The Run

After ripping all the chairs up and stacking them off to the side, Ammon knelt down on the floor. He tapped the floor a few times, formed his hand into knife, and stabbed it into the lowest point of the floor. The cracks in the concrete spread out like a spiderweb from the point, and more spread out as he did it again with his other arm. With a herculean strain he brought his hands together, crumbling the rock between them.

Now that he had a hole, things would go much faster. He leveled punches into the walls of it, widening the entrance. Then he claimed in and did the same thing, deepening it further until he could stand in it. He poked his head out.

"Hey, you two go find something I can use to bail all this debris out."

Hypatos wanders off to find a tool for Ammon and returns after a short amount of time.

"I found this near the back of this building's main entrance" Hypatos explains as he hands the remains of a metal fountain dispenser to Ammon. "We will have to go raiding for tools after the others return with food, whatever sticky substance that container was supposed to hold it was definitely not meant for a job like this."

Re: Monsters On The Run

"Yep, this'll make things go faster."

The work did go faster. Much faster. Ammon was wishing he's had this sort of strength when he'd been building that stupid tomb. He dug deeper and deeper, widening out and he craved under the floor with his fingers, passing the debris up to Hypatos and the Big Guy. He wondered, for a moment, why they hadn't just had mummies do all the manual labor. I mean, look at him! He was cutting it up. This was easy! He could dig anywhere-

And it was at that point that the floor caved in and he tumbled into something that is best not described. Face first. The others can hear the wail come out of the makeshift cave.

"Oh gods! Ohhhhh gods. Divine tongue, why do you subject me to this torment? Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I can taste everything!"

"This must be one of the passages I escaped through before grouping up with you guys" Hypatos exclaims "Quickly, climb up on that walkway over there. Do you know what this means! These things must go through nearly the entirety of this civilization, we could get anywhere we want without notice!"

Ammon hauled himself up onto the side, moaning from the taste. Stupid divine tongue, useless piece of crap. He could vaguely taste the dinner of everyone living on this block. It wasn't pretty.

Horrible hacking sounds came from the tunnel. He didn't care how incognito it was, he wasn't going to be down here if he could help it.
