Um, yeah, I think your second suggestion will better suit the reduction of the Centaurs' magic-osity. But even with magical/alchemical cures, it'll take a while for them to be prepared. I want it to be a process for the succubus to recover, not just:

"Here! Take this!"

*all wounds healed*

"All better! Bye!"
