I never said it was bloodless, just not very bloody to the point of making people throw up. The head is the spot that recieves the most blood and bleeds the fastest. Aox never got hit in the head as I recall and for the Tyran vs. Nameless human match, I imagine Tyran cuting the human's head off.... Urk, ok now I'm about to throw up.
@Phi: Yes, the next match after Amalia vs. Nayotake no Hime is Taro vs. Mook. The Mook's name is Rubi.

Atlas' old opponent was one of Jester's, so he is fighting nobody at the moment which was why I was just going to skip over it.
I can have him fight one of yours if you wish.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

That should be interesting, Gilgamesh will most likely disagree though.

When did you become an expert on Durhian physiology? We aren't talking about humans remember, for all you know fire and cuts to the legs and chest cause massive blood loss in Durhians. Just sayin'

Until you post something about Durhian physiology on the Wik, in the story or in the comments, we have to assume that it is very similar to humans, because it is difficult to imagine a race different from a humanoid one unless we are told exactly what is different about them. Ex: GV posted that the Vandals are insectoid, specifically ant-like as I recall. Please give us the information that you have that we don't, because we are not mindreaders and cannot know what Durhian are like until you tell us. This is also why basing things off established mythos makes imagining the beings slightly easier. Ex: The Yukionna/Yukiotoko look like ordinary humans in both Japanese mythology and this story thus making it easy to imagine them. Understand?

Do you understand that I've already described the durhians? They were initially made from earth. They are built for intricate crafting. They are tall and thin.
This ringing any bells? I understand where you're coming from, but check your facts before you talk down to someone.

I wouldn't know anything about the Yukionna/Yukiotoko without research though
I wonder if you realize that you are probably the only one with common knowledge of the Japanese Demons.

Besides, you're missing the point. All I'm saying was the fight was bloody, and you have no right to say differntly. That's all.

That description I recall but I still don't see anything on physiology, which includes well more than that. Ex: Bone structure, blood vessels, muscles, brain chemistry, etc. And I don't percieve what I've said as talking down to you. You might percieve it differently, but as far as I can tell, until you tell me (as you just did) I think that I'm talking to you as an equal would. Thanks for telling me, but I don't know how to fix it to sound like I'm talking to you as an equal would, so please do enlighten me.
@Phi: The informatioon on Yukionna is out there on the internet, though it is very scant information. Mentions as I recall their powers over ice, although I added in the weakened physical prowess to make them racially balanced for the story. They are also in manga and anime as well.

"Made from earth" should have been your first clue. Their skin isn't like human skin for one. I'd go into more detail, but that would serve no purpose right now.
It definitely sounds like you're talking down to me when you try and tell me why my narration is wrong based on your opinion. My mythos, my narration, my opinion. If I say that the Durhians have cotton candy for skin and peppermints for eyes, then they do. Who are you to tell me otherwise?

I have no right? I have the right to freedom of speech, so yes, I can say it wasn't bloody. I can be wrong, but I can still say it. Also, I never did say it wasn't bloody, just that it wasn't REALLY bloody which in my mind means excessive amounts of blood. You focused on the hand first and said basically that it was bloody because of that at first and I countered that it couldn't have been because of the hand because of what occurs when a person is burned. After that is when you took up the cuts part, then I countered with it not being excessively bloody. I did not at any point say the fight was bloodless.

My whole point was that it was bloody, that's it. Why would you argue it if you agreed? Besides, his hand bleed quite a lot after being severed. I did say that.

And my opinion is based on the information that you give me. You are the only one who can fix that problem when it comes to mythos that you create. Unless you give the information freely it will result in misunderstandings until you fix them by teling us how we're wrong. And I can't say otherwise if you give the information, but if you doo not say what parts of the Durhian are like then I could say that the Durhian have hollow bones like birds and Phi could say that they have bones like those of elephants and neither of us can be proven wrong until you say otherwise. And 'made of earth' doesn't help because the earth has soft minerals and hard ones. Ones soft enough to be reformed with nothing more than body heat (gold) and ones that are very diifficult to damage (diamond). You can claim that this is looking down on you, but it is true that made of earth does not help with envisioning a race.

Because it looked to me as if you disagreed with what I was saying in my previous post and thus our argument started. If you had made it clear that you weren't disagreeing with me then this wouldn't have started (and no, I cannot see smileys on a DSi).

Clay...they are made of clay. Check my post of their creation if you don't believe me. Fact is, you can say all you want about them, but you're wrong until I confirm it or it's confirmed by a quote. Besides, I narrated Aox and said he bled out. Therefore, I am correct in saying so because he is my mythos. You tried to tell me my own narration was wrong based on information you assumed because you did not remember my definition of Durhians.
So please stop trying to act like this is purely my fault. Its partially yours too.

Did I ever say I was above blame? No. You can say I implied that all you want, but implications aren't useful when doing text messages on the internet and I don't think saying someone implied something to you works in courts either (that's just an example, I know we're not in a court). And Scrodinger's Cat and the Devil's Proof both verify anything I say about the Durhian until you prove me wrong (I love Umineko no Naku Koro Ni). The Durhian are the cat inside the box that is living, dead, or both, until you open the box and everyone else are the people outside the box guesing what is inside it. I will take partial blame on this, but you should try to remember that I really like Schrodinger's Cat as a proof that everything is right until proven wrong. If you don't want me to question you on your race like this, then don't ever question me on mine. If youaren't willing to have something be done to you or do something yourself, then you shouldn't do it to others. And I do answer questions, up to the point in which I haven't thought of answers to the questions given.

Um, you never actually asked me. You just assumed.
The durhians are not a thought experiment, they are my mythos. Ergo, you have to ask about them before you know about them. Only what I say about them is correct. Your assumptions, are only assumptions until proven right.

Dryad, don't you find your signature a smidgen long?

I disagree with that last sentence because you broadened it to all assumptions I make (no specifications on which assumptions I make). Assumptions are often accepted as true in many societies until proven wrong, more often than not by careful experimentation. Ex: The sun revolves around the sun, gravity affects everything instantaneously, mass can be created/destroyed, etc. Who knows? It may even be proven in the future that mass can travel faster than lightspeed. Assumptions are more than just assumptions. Even now, one highly controversial assumption is debated regularly in society, but neither side can prove it right or wrong. There is the Devil's Proof. Until you can prove that all assumptions are just assumptions, then I'm right, because assumptions shape our daily lives all the time and you'll never escape them (sometimes as prejudice, racism, etc.).
Good night now. I need my rest.
