The god continues to stare silently as the argument unfolds

Oh my, that's right. The mechanics of divinity was a complete mystery to the mortals. Chalk up another thing he should have shared but didn't. Better introduce him to the concept slowly....
"Gilgamesh, tell me something; your will to fight? To test yourself?" The Watchman said, staring back at Mik, "It's diminished, hasn't it? Comes on less frequently, more easily put off? And not just you either, but everyone on your island?"

This was not a response he was expecting to receive and it was touching upon a particularly raw spot in his pride. The Watchman was not incorrect, he had seen these attributes in his fellow heroes but had placed the reason for their actions upon a period of mourning for the fallen Pantheon. His greatest fear though was that these attributes would take root in himself as well, or that they had already begun to grow, but he could not let signs of weakness show during this meeting.
"We can handle ourselves Watchman" Gil the Second replies, avoiding touching the heart of the matter.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
"It's not your fault. Gods are connected intimately to the world they inhabit. They do not just preside over a domain, they effectively become it. I am Just Causes, Mina is Demons, Crav Is Industry, Uburra-Namal is Love."
"Gilgamesh was Conflict."

"I know of Gilgamesh's ideals and the Spirits he created to protect each" Gil the Second replies. "Are you telling me that without Gilgamesh or Bahamut that no hero may exist in this world? What of the fact that I still stand before you now?"
"And them" he says indicating towards Mik'Hael's group "What position do they hold that the world would not be better off with them receiving the fate they deserve?"

"Memory and Death." Hazet announced, "Both concepts we can ill afford to loose. Even Chaos has it's place. Even Monsters.. thought I would prefer it some other way."
The God had returned to his throne. "It is quite obvious something must be done. The question is what can we do to.. that." His eyes darted to the broken form of the Monster King.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

"Crav and I discussed a box. We build in a stronger Spectropolis field within the box, find the deepest hole on the planet, dig it deeper, then throw it in there and cover it up."

"No," Mik uttered quietly, black streaks of lightning arching across his form."I don't care what it did, I don't care what it is, everything you've done is like beating a dead horse." The god's voice slowly rose in volume his eyes building with white fire. "If any of you, try to take it away from me, I will not forgive you." The form of the monsterking began to shudder and solidify as black shadows began to flow towards the surface of Mik.

Von Trapt rose in righteous fury, his voice thundering across the room. "Then you can join him! But one way or another, we're sealing that abomination up and throwing away the key. He's a danger to us all!."
"Von Trapt is correct", Crav interjected, " The Monsterking still poses a danger. You have already shown that you cannot control him and if he is allowed to roam free history may repeat itself. We cannot allow that to happen again and so he must face the repercussions of his actions. Imprisonment is by far the most lenient punishment we can offer, as opposed to torture or death." "And we'll be damned if we let you stop us!" Von Trapt cut in.

"I'm afraid I have to agree with Crav, Mik." The Watchman said. "A dead horse isn't alive. A dead horse can't bring itself back. A dead horse can't put on a very convincing act and manipulate you against us. How curiously convenient, that the enemy of the God of Memory would awaken with none of his own, and in such close proximity to a supposedly comatose deity. So convenient that you reappear here, today of all days."
He leans back and lets the implications simmer in the air. "In fact, what evidence is there the the person I'm speaking to is, in fact, Mik Hael? After all, wasn't The Monster King his doppelganger? And wasn't he so adapt at stealing the forms of other gods? And really, isn't a person nothing more than the sum of their memories? All one would have to do is scoop out the original memories and dump in their own, if they wanted to switch bodies. Of course, that method wouldn't really be a true switch. Just changing someone until they were you. Such a method would, of course, be insane." "You said you couldn't trust us, but we have every reason to doubt your word. For your safety, and the safety of the inhabitants of this world, I insist you surrender yourself into custody until such time as your situation can be understood."

Waverider watched from her seat with a frown.
"Where are we going to put him? It seems stupid to shove them both in the same box." Bazul tilted his enourmous head, his large coral-lined seat creaking beneath him, and decided to speak. "I feel that this may give cause for grudges in the future. I suggest a note of.. mercy, perhaps?" From her own seat, Coral shot him a blistering glare unconciously gripping her sheathed sword, "The Mistress has spoken. I side with her on this matter."

"I can control him! Not once when he was with me did his powers manifest! Its only whenyou started spouting your memories that he started replaying them! As for the rest of you I don't know what your talking about and i don't care, ever since I've come here I've done nothing but been dragged around, Yelled, at, and told to sit by as the only other thing I've known has been attacked.and sentenced to some horrible imprisonment, and now you're considering locking me in with him, " The shadows surrounding Mik darkened and began to encompass more of his form as the monsterking faded further. "It's just not right!"
The monsterking faded fully into shadows and encompassed the god's entire body. Mik collapsed as his form contorted and grew as his mask began to change features, the eyes fading into the smooth surface as the shadows condensed onto the left side of his face darkening pearly white into an inky black as the cloth of the god darkened to gray and elongated flowing into a grey cloak. Wings of dappled white and black ripped from the god's back and unfurled, as his hair changed from the pure white to row upon row of black spikes. Finally seven horns sprouted from the god's head and grew severalinches in length before sharpening into fine points. "..." A small popping noise was heard as the god cricked his neck, before slowly moving to his feet and righting himself. he raised one arm, dusting a speck of dust from the forefront of his coat before signaling the group with a small wave. "Yo, long time no see." |

"Well, now what do we do? He ate him. Or was eaten." Paean asked tiredly, glancing around. He sunk into a more comfortable position in his chair, and continued. "I don't think imprisoning would have done much anyway. Thing about immortal beings is that they will always find some way to escape. Forever is on their side, after all. Maybe some sort of therapy?"

"The situation has not changed. He is still far to much of a risk to let roam free. We must take actions to prevent this disater from happening again." Crav reasoned.

"Heh, sheesh it really is hard to startle a room of gods, No Mik-Hael what the hell happened, or who are you or, glad to see you again, hell I would have even taken a death threat." The god scratches the back of his head. "oh well if no one cares, guess I'm out. Dephos come on, no reason for us to be here." The god grabs his ward by the waste with one arm hefting her over his shoulder, and begins to turn towards the nearest exit.

Coral leapt from her seat, hand on her sword and several Undine began to edge around Mik Hael.
"What is the meaning of this? Now is not a good time to be transforming or shedding shadows." Waverider narrowly glanced at the shadowed God then at Crav. Recalling the Moon, she nodded. "He has much to answer for." The God-Emperor gave Mik Hael an imperious look, then snapped his fingers. Beside him, the seedy and vicious looking God stood, flushing wings. Speaking with a tightly controlled voice, he began. "I assume we shall be giving him some form of trial? As the God of Legal Proceedings, I feel the need to request one. Even under the circumstances."

"I'm sure we can settle all of this like civilized gods," Crav said, in a voice that barely hid the concern he felt as he looked up to the assembled mortals in the stands. Many of whom looked terrified.
Von Trapt opened his mouth to speak but was silenced by viscious glares from Crav and Sonia.

The god glanced from left to right and raised both hands above his head, "Oh look at that somebody cares, of course it's a death threat, but hey, I asked for one." The god disappeared and reappeared instantly behind an undine with a transformed Dephos held at her throat, before blinking again back to his seat, "Then again it's also not a time for God's to be threatening each other, using divine servitors no less, seriously no respect." the god shrugged his shoulders and rested his feet on the table in front of him, "Oh well, I don't deserve any better, so before you apparently sentence me to a life of imprisonment for a crime I didn't commit and, already have erased myself from existence for, am I allowed to defend myself, or are we going to deal with more important things like the civilized holders of vast power and creators of life that we are?"

Crav relaxed, at least he was acting more civilized for the time being. He nodded and rearranged himself in his chair.
Sonia Sighed a little bit. Mik Hael's Bad Boy act was getting to her just a bit. Von Trapt seethed in anger. He didn't Trust Mik Hael at all. But he kept his mouth shut firmly and contented himself to staring hole in the table.

A smell of sea-salt snaked into the air as the light in the dome took on a dark and blue-greenish shade. A sense of great, massive weight came. Whistling winds echoed about.
A great darkness radiated from the Sea Goddess. The power and fury of an ocean beat behind her apparent calmness. She spoke with a voice like crashing waves and thunderclaps. Do not threaten one of mine again. Just as quickly as it came, the strange phenomenon faded. "We aren't the ones in trouble here." She continued, as if nothing had happened.
