I respect you opinion, but politely disagree. Now, I don't think a plot is necessary right now. Obvious we all have things we want to do right now. I know I have a few things I'd like to.

Like I said, we don't really need a plot event right now. especially since we have stuff each of us wants to do anyways.

It's not necessary right now. We've spent 30 some odd pages of writing and still barely developed our societies.

I actually had a thought that we could do one thread to detail the rise of civilization, one to detail the middle part, and one to detail the end.

Maybe. Half of the players have already used their motes though. With the rate at which motes are gained, you should be able to create what you want with what you have available now, then we can do plot while we wait for motes to refill.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

I suggest a time limit of sorts. We've been going about a month, and these things should be set. I say, three to four days.  An accumulation of twelve points. Enough to finish most things they have in store. And in the mean time, we can create the plot device.

We need some story going on, or people are going to turn to attacking each other with nothing better to do.

And I suppose trying to get the last word on how I should have handled the situation is better.

It sounds like an ineresting idea actually. It would give a lapse period to catch back up with motes, and it would give a good transitional period into the births of civilization, as we did in the last incarnation.

Prep time would be good, people could quickly build what they want. Four days from now would be friday, friday is a good day to start plots.

The threat of a common enemy is the perfect way to break the shells of the participants. After they band together to protect their worlds, the barriers in between them should fall and a steady repetroire would begin.

That's just it though, Putting a time limit on it makes things worse. If you guys would stop trying to rush development this would be more fun.

Doesn't mean we can't plan it out beforehand, though I agree we should be getting our own house in order before having guest over, if you'll forgive the metaphor.

Personally, I like the idea of evil counterparts to ourselves. Though you should try not to have them be of the Evil Twin variety. Don't make it to obvious.

Or not opposites, but our domains taken to their extremes. Gods who share our domains, but go about them in a different way. A god of the oppressed who goes about chopping all monarchs heads off and wants a world consumed by anarchy would be an interesting opponent.

I honestly don't give a care about what he thinks of me or my stances.

I'll just go back to how I dealt with him before. Ignoring those big, long posts, and disregarding the short ones that come across insulting or mocking.

Moving on...

If you say so.

I just figured we'd need to build our lands and establish our societies first, but, you know...who cares about that? Let's just jump from the start of the story to the conflict.

Nobody likes being bored.

If we try to rush a story, then this RP is doomed to fail yet again. If you guys want to discuss it, fine.

it's not really that rushed actually. This is still the beginning period of the world, in all honesty I doubt that the first century has yet passed. We've all had time to form our places, the world is now fleshed out, and if we do begin the plot, it would be better to start here, while the world is still fresh, and can survive a battle of the gods, than to begin later, after the building of civilization.

As I said earlier the apocalypse would be a great transision to allow a few hundred or thousand years while the world recovered for the civilizations to grow. After a bit more meddling we would fall back slightly and allow our creations to deal. After that we would fall back even more as the powers which shaped the world began to waver, and we would begin the thrid Apocalypse.

The entire time slowly transitioning into the story of mortals.
