Should be interesting.

We just need to get people's attention and finish up KCoM
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

What's the current spread of weapon types?

Well, so far I've got:

Bow
Broadsword
Club
Dual Daggers
Knife
Short Sword
Staff
Sickle
Morningstar
Katana
Spear
Axe
Hammer
Knuckles
Crossbow

If there is a type you'd prefer over these, feel free to suggest it.

What about Misc?

You know, for stuff that was never meant as a weapon, but never-the-less is quite good at it.

Like, say, knitting needles. Or frying pans.

Maybe, but I'd need to narrow it down considerably to what people would actually wield or I'd be drawing up tons of items that will never be put to use

True, had a moment there where I forgot about the drawing part.

Of the top of my head, other possible weapon types..

Greatswords (2-Handed swords, etc), Whips, Boomerangs (A classic).

There's also the possibility of, say, Lances.

And depending on how this ends up working, Magic Wands/Staves.

Oh, and have I mentioned I really, really love randomized items.

Who can say no to a boomerang that gives you super speed and turns anything it hits into pigeons?

That sort of quirkiness is so endearing.

Crap, I completely forgot about Wands and Staves...

I had stuff written down for them, but forgot to add them to my list and create some base ones.

As for the rest. Great-swords are a definite yes, as are whips and boomerangs.

Lances, might be tricky, but are a maybe. They'd go great with shields if I can find a good way to draw them without them looking flat and useless.

Gv suggested Muskets at one point, but I'm not sure If I'll go with that.

If it has bad enough kick-back, we can use Muskets to fly!

Then you sir are in luck. Every item that gets an enchantment or power gets one randomly selected from my big old list of random attributes.

Also, I'm now adding (Chance To Turn Enemies Into Pigeons) to that list.

Also, since we're on the subject of magic.

Books are often used as weapons for that.

Some properties from nethack might be interesting. Most are fairly obvious, but Teleportitis is interesting.

You could also look at some of the spells (Magic Mapping comes to mind in a dungeon) and other magical objects. Like rings or amulets.

And while we're at it, Artifacts in general.

You have no idea how helpful all this is to me. I want to make this a fun and creative experience for everyone involved and every bit of assistance is greatly appreciated. I can;t think of everything, and when you give me great resources and help like this it ensures the RP will be better for it.

A few notes on Player-Made Items:

Over the course of the RP players may deem it necessary or fun to "create" their own items from materials or loose items about the dungeon such as sticks, rocks, debris, creature parts or decorations. This is a totally viable option.

For instance, A player enters the dungeon and loses his or her weapon. To defend themselves, the player decides to pick up and wield the skeletal arm of a fallen creature. The arm has now become a weapon and as such an image will be created to represent it and it will be added to the inventory. It is now considered an item for all intents and purposes.

My new goal might be to pick up every random thing I can.

Unless you wield it, wear it, or craft with it...it'll just be a thing in your inventory.
