Agreed.  No more politics from this camp.  I'm glad to hear that you vary your news diet somewhat.

Lol, yeah, I intend to give Firefly a try. Hopefully sooner than later.

I've now made a power that makes it impossible to lose if you don't mind it being impossible to win. I've also noticed that most of the Arcana powers I've made are based on information, probability or highly specialized reality warping.

Or to be precise, a lot of them give very specialized absolute powers.

Interesting observations and solutions...

You've piqued my interest on your power.  Did you submit it on the main site?  I'd like to know more about it.

Yes.

I'll wait to see if it's accepted to try my hand at the other powers in the series, which is based on the Major Arcana of Tarot.

Starts with Arcana: 0 The Fool, and currently goes up to Arcana: 11 The Wheel of Change.

A summary since the site is over quota again: The Fool warps probability to make it nigh-impossible to physically harm you, The Magician lets you learn force-kinetic powers, The High Priestess is like Muscle Memory Mimicry at random, The Empress lets you make animated creatures out of psionic energy, The Emperor gives you complete control over the movement of your body, The Hierophant lets you transfer information from anything to anything (i.e Your brain to a book, etc), The Lovers makes everyone view you with fervent love and loyalty, The Chariot demolishes anything you think of as an obstacle, Strength makes you more strong and durable the more clam you are, The Hermit lets you make intangible thought-creatures that can relay information to you and the Wheel of Change causes reality to change randomly around you.

Remaining are: The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement and The World.

I've currently got ideas for about four of those, and I don't want to do them out of order.

Honestly, though, some of them are weaker than others and I feel vaguely bothered by that.

Fascinating. I'll be monitoring the new powers that come out on the main site to make sure I don't miss your upcoming submissions.   Thanks for the heads up, Zale.

Re: Interesting superpower questions

Viewed thru the lens of Ability Access - the power that lets you acquire 10 powers per day, as long as they are not Omni or God powers, would the following be disqualified?

1. Superhuman Disability Bestowal
2. Conditional Ability Bestowal
3. Mythpower: Ctesios' Title
4. Comic Book Character Summoning
5. Marvel Superpowers (and, by extension, DC Superpowers)
6. Ability Absorber

They all allow you to bend reality in small ways of their own accord, but the combination of certain powers can certainly take one to the omega hero/villain level.

I vote that they'd be allowed, but I also have a stake in that answer, so my objectivity isn't guaranteed.

I think they would be mostly allowed. The only real restriction noted, was on Omni-powers and god-level powers.

So, probably not the MythPower, but the others, sure.

Ah!  And that was one of the main purposes behind my question - yes, it is affiliated with the divine, but it doesn't grant a God/uber/omni/omega ability.  Considering some of the other powers on the site,  that one is more of moderate potency.

Is "godlike" a mere category of classification, rather than a ranking of how powerful the power makes the owner?  For the purposes of this question, I'm inclined toward the latter.

Yeah, I'm thinking that god-level refers to the amount of power it lends, but I wouldn't be shocked if it also referred to the classification of 'divine' as well.

If he didn't specify it, though, there's no reason to make that leap. By all means, make use of that MythPower. If you develop it to the point of using your house as a focus for Reality Bending, anyhow, then I say you deserve the capability...hehehe...

Interesting questions. I will have to ponder them. The last show I watched was Resurrection.
Bow before your unimaginably powerful overlord!

Wait a minute, I'm currently too busy holding a cork in mid air for petty groveling.

1st Question: MIchael Jackson.

2nd Question: I watched reality TV with a friend, but I don't count that, and I also don't count the news. That leaves me with Believe, a new TV show that just came out, about a little girl with budding psychic powers.

That'd be an awesome world to live in, I think. It's sort of like a protracted version of Firestarter, except that, while the girl's still potentially dangerous, she's a little older, a little more mature, and really goes out of her way to help people. Oh, and her dad has no powers to speak of.

3rd Question: As cool as a Zombie Apocalypse would be, in the abstract sense, I have to say, I'd much prefer an alien invasion. It has WAY more likelihood that I could potentially reason with the invaders, and weasel my way out of being killed.

1) No one. Zombie performances are so unlive.

2) Heroes.  Of course.

3) Also alien invasion.
Because  :
A) finally we will have the answer to an age old question. WE ARE NOT ALONE.
B) They won't survive our disseases and we then can get hands on their technology

In the case of meteor shower and world war 3 there is a huge risk that the earth explodes.
So that only leaves the zombies as an alternative.

1st question - if George Harrison were in there along with Lennon,  I'd love to see the Beatles.  Since he isn't,  I'd have to go with Freddie Mercury and Queen.

2nd question - Family Guy...YEESH!  As long as I'm not Peter Griffin.  I think I could manage being Stewie, though.

3rd question - Alien invasion, I suppose.  I just hope that when my number's up, it's quick and painless, like a purple-instant-death-ray thingy.

I like you, kid. You got moxie.

And yeah, basically the contagion-killing-the-aliens-off-leaving-their-technology-up-for-the-taking reason actually puts Alien Invasion even higher up on my list of preferred Apocalypses. And it's at the top. So...yeah.
