Re: Interesting superpower questions

Celadon's Penultimate

Yeah, I'm aware of how much feedback it has potential to get. Though, seeing as how most of the posters who used to take up entire threads within days (Neo, Greenday, Bug, etc) are gone, I figured it would be safe to just get a few yays and nays here and there.

And yeah, I personally hate the mohawks and punk look on Rogue. She's supposed to be this elegant goddess-type, and they diminish her to some urban punk rocker chick. That would be acceptable for maybe Rogue or Jubilee, but not Storm.

Yeah, I mean, there's probably a couple female characters I could let it slide for, but on Storm, it seems especially trashy and unbefitting.

Celadon's Penultimate

Of the first set, Infinity Gauntlet, without question. It would make me Penultimate by default.

And of the second set, Mjolnir. It gives the user access to immense power, which I think would rival Green Lantern. It would even be a rival for the Silver Surfer's board, if that choice was available.

I would choose the same as Wulf.

Naturally the Infinity Gauntlet has little contest in the list of 'Most Powerfull Objects Ever Imagined'.

But if the Witchblade would count as 'Any Symbiote' then I would choose it.

However it's described as a sentient artifact, so I guess it wouldn't count as symbiote?

Again, as with the former posters, I would have to choose the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet out of sheer power.  Not saying I would use the power to its fullest, but it would let me create the "perfect" power balance.

In a distant 2nd would be GL's power ring.  Admittedly,  it is less powerful than Mjolnir, but it is more versatile.  Just my $0.02

Power ring and Symbiote. Ultimate power doesn't interest me...looking badass while I wield power is far more important.

Sure, if you have no issue with the idea of living with an entity that could alter your personality or even take over your mind.

Though, if you have the willpower strong enough to wield the Power Ring, wouldn't it make resisting the Symbiote's influence somewhat easier?

hey, good point.

At least if you can wield the green power ring since that one is fueled by willpower.
But if it's a red, black or orange Power Ring then it'll be much harder.

Well see symbiotes can influence your personality but not alter it. They attach to you, but are lesser minds than yours. That's why Spider-Man could keep fighting crime with venom on him. The only reason he got rid of it was because it reacted badly when he got angry. The only reason Venom is evil now is 1) because Spider-Man abandoned it and it's got a grudge and 2) because it's new host hates Spider-man so much.

Good observation,  Marv.  The symbiotes can be ruled by one with commensurate commitments to its own ethos.  One can be badass enough to harness the power of the symbiote to whom it is attached without compromising one's own individually,  if he/she possesses the fortitude of will.

Precisely why a Green Lantern user would be nearly perfect for the job, no?

That brings up another reason why the Marvel universe and DC universe should never join.

That's a better interpretation. They can't permantly change someones personality.
It's more like they influence the emotions or mindset of the other.
