 I'm from the dutch speaking half of Belgium.
Which also means that WHD and I share the same first language. It's a small country in the center of Europe. I think our most famous products are beer and chocolate.

 Why do I have to get my powers from anywhere other than the List? I mean, sure, it'd be cool, like Neo and Morpheus with the blue and red pills, but really. I think I'd much rather owe my debt to the site. That, I would gladly pay back by keeping the site up and going perfectly, into perpetuity.

That would be an awesome way to start a day!
One of the first things I'd do is give my classmates of last year (plus one or two more) Chronicle-style telekinesis. That way I can use my telekinesis, flight, invulnerability and superhuman strength without surprising anybody.

I think I'd try it out for myself first. Then, break the news to friends, to see how they take it. Then, if they take it well (without freaking out, and going on a tirade about all the people they would get back, and punish, and whatnot), then bestow them abilities as well.

Same as me, basically. First testing the waters, then gradually giving them more and responsibility/trust etc.
We're both prudent, it seems

 Indeed. These things require careful planning and cautious moderation.
Until one of us (or our powers combined) initiates New Beginning. Then we can be crazy and reckless, as we lay the smackdown on villains left and right, and spawn and explore all kinds of new worlds for our own special reality-bender brand of fun.
