I'm going to sleep before I injure something. :I My brain is angry. Wulf, Phi, this would be set in the same setting as NB. It would not, however, have the same power level or activities.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Think of it like this:
Playing Lords of Creation. Go from Gods to Mortals. Same world, entirely different way of going about things.

So what power level are we aiming for here?
We need to decide 1. How we got together 2. Where we got together 3. What we do from there
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

That's later in the story. We need characters first.

Detailedness?
My character will basically be the equivalent of a teenager during the "Rebellious Stage". It thinks I'm a totalitarian mass-minded brain-washing kitten-eating tyrannical monster. The portion of me observing thinks that's both hilarious and adorable. Like a wittle puppy twying to bite off youw fingew. And so has adopted the persona of a doting parent towards the character.

Zale, why are you explaining it to me? I already get the concept now.

...I told you, I didn't understand before, but I get it now. Thanks, but the further elaboration is unnecessary.

I suppose my would have to be another Core User just at a lesser stage of development, they are the only ones from my dimension that would have powers.

Not sure yet about mine.
The Celadonian gene pool has so many races and classes to choose from... Not sure if I should use somebody already existing in my mythos, or make someone entirely new.

You guys realize that since we are creating this together, there won't be any "my character" or "Your character", only the characters. This isn't an RP where we control one character, we are all creating this as we go. The characters don't even have to be directly related to any one original character. The could be some random person who will get sucked into this world of unbelievable powers and places.

Okay after reading all those posts which took me an hour or two. Funny coincidence is that I sorta have a character lined up for this before I know it would happen.
Course I kinda do have to say the character is mine though he will directed less by me which makes it more fun. Also yay saw the homestuck reference wasn't sure if you guys were reading it :D And since you guys know little to nothing about my character and the new character I got to bring in means I'm gonna have to explain a lot in a bit. As an aspiring writer who spaces out so often its not even funny. My mind has been home to many of my characters misadventures. So here is pretty much a summary about my new character CF (Still got make a name for him) and his relation to Cabanilla. After wandering around multiple universes Cabanilla eventually discovers himself to be a fragment of a higher being. The Being in question was broken into 4 fragments. His partner Alvina was one of the fragments. After sometime of traveling they found another fragment going by the name of garth. Eventually they found the 4th fragment his potential power is greater than his combined strength of his counter-parts. However the universe was locked specifically them out. Searching multiple universes to find a way to break him out. While doing this they gained the attention of those who made him into a fragment. Luckily a few of these beings assisted him in rescuing the 4th. After rescuing the 4th fragment they are on the run now from a group whose power is equal to what being the Fragments used to be. So I got an antagonist for my character. Well a group of em and to be honest I've been still working on this story for some time.with my characters background and what not.
My flame shines bright. Just make sure not to get burned by it.

I foresee a problem....If you guys try to create a character for this who has a specific back story it won't quite work. If everyone has a different explanation for their character we won;t have time to go through each character's individual explanations.
All the characters have to have a related scheme. If that makes any since. Something that unifies them as a group while still allowing them individuality.

I realize that, but I'll likely make a Celadonian.

I'm thinking he is saying we should do something like this: Make a new dimension and create all our characters from that, and we can send them on adventures to our dimensions that we've created.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. I think he's giving us the option.

Actually no, Phi is mostly correct. We need something that unifies our characters as a single group of the same story rather than a collection of characters from different stories that band together.
For example, it would be cool if say Ichigo, Goku, Naruto and Luffy all joined together to fight evil, but they all come from vastly different stories, with greatly different rules, concepts and designs. They don't quite fit together and it would be difficult to unify them into one story without prior knowledge of their individual stories. Each of our own creations is much like it's own story, they each have greatly different styles that don;t quite match up with one another.

~World Building Time~
Let's start making the place that the cast will emerge from. Also: What will the tone of this be?
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

So we're going to create a new dimension to join the SPL and have its characters explore the other dimensions we've added to slowly reveal them and create a story.
Problem is, I'm stumped on what unifying elements we want this one dimension to have and for the corruption we will be setting them up against.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Well, just make it a Nexus.
A crossroads of the multiverse, so to speak.. Many things travel and drift to there naturally... It can seem like a strange place, with magic, science and psionics existing side by side..
