Or.. That..

Hmm.

Ding

Different Universes. Different Villains. One powerful one appears. Gathers all of them. We meet. Fight. Team up.

Wholly different from the NB, because we would be just meeting each other because of this.

Interesting.

But...what sort of villain could possibly unite us all? It can't be a user, like Alex or Jester. And we each have our own ideas of 'TEH ULTIMATE BADDIES', so 'mine' are not as malevolent as 'yours', etc...

What can we come to a consensus about, as far as what makes a clever and truly diabolical villain, and one that warrants beings of the power that we will display?

(Oh, and BTW, this can totally be an alternate universe of New Beginning, it doesn't mean we have to scratch any of it from the actual canon. Let's face it. Reality benders that we are, it ALL happened, including our backstory storylines...)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Or close.

Actually, I think making a villain would be easier once we had a protagonist(s) to match with it.

Let's start with the main character(s) first.

Well, yes, I agree. But, I think that a truly successful villain takes time and thoughtful consideration to create.

I, for one, would suggest that we consider what we each liked best about villains from our own backstories, and combine that into a truly suitable baddie, without going overboard, being too dramatic or unrealistic.

Wouldn't the main characters be the main people from the SPL?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

If that's what is chosen. Personally I'd rather start with fresh characters so we can create an arc with their development and growth as a character. Our normal characters can be mentors, guides and nuisances as the situation demands.

I like this idea so much fucking better.

I CAN BE A QUIRKY MENTOR! MY LIFE DREAM IS FULFILLED!

Yes, but we've got to keep this thread focused to be productive. If we all run off throwing ideas around about different aspects we won't get very far, very fast. Let's look at one aspect, agree on something, then move on to another

Would we even use the same dimension's we've already come from in the current NB?

Possibly, that remains to be seen.

Here's what I propose as a sort of basis...

A few main characters, each starting from a different area/dimension/place. In turn each is introduced and begins their individual journey, whatever it may be. As they travel an antagonist is revealed. Eventually all the characters find one another and their quest becomes a race to stop the antagonist.

Hmm..

Would you mind if these were closely related to the normal cast?

If by that you mean like they're being mentored by the normal cast, or they're the offspring of the normal cast.......then yeah, in fact I was kinda thinking the same thing.

But of course this is just a suggestion. We can do something else if you guys want to.

I'd rather use our normal characters. We've already have so much built up around them that we would have a lot of information to pull from for story use.

That's also, sort of a flaw. We have so much already built for them, they would start too developed to have any kind of good arc or development without extensive explanations of their back stories and such.

It's better to start a story with fresh clay to mold as the story progresses.

 Rookie.

Mentoring takes more than being quirky.

Just ask Savior. It takes me--ahem, I mean a mentor -- being certifiably insane.

Wait, what? Entirely new characters? What happened to our arcs transcending parallel universes?

I'm pretty sure there's a way to keep our own characters and remold them to fit into this new universe without scrapping them entirely for new people.
