A Muse Shall Narrate..

But..

More than one of them wants to. All involved have a different idea of what kind of story it should be..

The main lineup would be Thalia, the muse of Comedy, who wants a light-hearted and humorous story..

And Calliope, the mus of Epic Poetry, who wants a thrilling and serious Epic.

The others would, of course, bust in whenever they felt it to be appropriate. Or when no one's paying attention.

If everyone starts singing and dancing, blame Euterpe.

Erato and Melpomene would be the most fun parts. I'd gladly take them up, if the Muses should be so invoked.

Actually, Euterpe would be responsible for simultaneous lyrical, poetic narration. Rhyming and whatnot. Terpsichore is the Muse of choral song and dance.

I just know Thalia. Wore a Comic Mask and often carried a Shepard's Staff. Also tended to wear boots.

I'd imagine she wouldn't be quite as serious as her sisters. More rough and tumble and not afraid to crack a dirty joke if it'd be funny.

Her name means the Joyous or the Flourishing.

Erato is the Muse of Romantic and Erotic Poetry.

 And Clio would be the voice of reason, always trying to get everything just so.

Calliope: "It is much more exciting that way."

Clio: "Though, as I've mentioned before, and am more than happy to mention again...it didn't happen like that. Now, if you don't mind, you've all had your say, and by now, the story could use some proper telling."
