Re: Interactive Story

The Junkyard Cat
Okay okay so what was going on hold up let me see. So narrator or as it seems you guys are going with multiple narrators. Are you making it different narrator each world, or each encounter with a certain character?

They are all vying to tell the story at the same time, interchanging for one another.

That's a funny idea. Just sitting by the camp fire as multiple people fight for who's telling the story among them.

Doesn't Wulf have a monopoly on all mythical creatures in NB?

Do we really want to try telling a NB story while also having to switch between different styles of writing while we are doing so?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Well if we are using multiple narrators that each have a different view on the story, comedy versus a different muse, then we would have to use different styles of writing to represent that.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Well no, see even though the narrator may change the "writing style" is the same. It's the tone that will change. Since this is a visual media how it's told doesn't differ much except for in the tone.

Besides it's not like we'll switch narrators ever two seconds...it'll be spread out.

Re: Interactive Story

The Junkyard Cat
We should totally have a character with a raspy kind of voice. Or at least the feel of it since its just writing and animating. It would be fun.

1) doesn't really work with animation
2) we're done making characters right now. We need to focus on scripting.

That is what I meant when I said writing style, I just did not word it correctly.

How are you going to show this narration in the animation? Just have the muse pop up at the beginning and have their narration bubbles throughout the whole thing?

I figured it would start with them speaking, but move to just showing the story and cutting back to the muses when they switch up......kinda like in Hercules where the muses start the story and are implied to be narrating the whole thing, but you don;t hear them talking the whole time, only at key points.

Would they be important to the story in any ways besides telling it?

Plot time.

What's the problem?

I don't know....just seems like a hassle to have everyone trying to combine their input for this....maybe I should just write it myself and ask for thoughts on it before I animate it.
