I like the first one.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

I like it. The first one, that is.

 Yeah, sure. If it's simpler.

It's easier to animate like that while still allowing for some fairly detailed characters.

It sounds lovely.

Hm...I rather like the hammer you made for that guy.

Maybe you can let the Gilded Ninnyhammer and Bunnyhugger make brief cameos, as 'DAS VERBOTEN! NEVAH TOUCH THESE, EVAH!' type objects.

I think we basically covered everybody, or rather every archetype, except the jerk-bag alpha male everybody hates.

True.

Oh, and not to mention, there's the vain one, the greedy one, the quick-tempered. Hm...guess they weren't all covered after all...

Am I the only one that liked the second one better?

I don't have any personality ideas at the moment, but I'll try to think up some interesting power ideas for us later.

Since I've been playing Deus Ex lately and I remember a power like this on the SPL, how about this: A person who has the ability to grow Augmentations/Implants over time at the cost of becoming hungry, the faster he grows them the more it drains him. Old augmentations are absorbed back into his biology over time, at least if he doesn't maintain them or his power increases later on.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

I think I could be happy with either character design.

Here is another power that I like that I believe I suggested for something else:

Sky Shards: As long as the user is able to see the atmosphere/sky, the user is able to "grab" tools/weapons from it as long as they are not larger than their perception of the atmosphere/sky. These tools/weapons appear to be made out of a glass like substance that always reflects the weather of an atmosphere, even if it is not the same weather currently present. From these tools you then have weather-like powers depending on what you make them reflect.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. love it...love everything about it. Slap a personality and character on that power and I vote to use it.
