Oh sorry I was thinking on the terms of non reality benidng super beings, but then again wouldn't beings on that level simply be able to expand the dimension anyway. I guess that it would kind of disolve into a complex power struggle as the point in space imediately erupts into chaos, because wouldn't future events take place during the same time as present events as well... It would be kind of hard to fight in something like that...

By first dimension I was reffering to a point. A single point that has no width depth length or time would be considered either the first dimension or a zero dimension on the scales of 2D 3D and 4D thinking.

Honestly I don't think that field could work if it was that small, because by the way you described it it wouldn't seem like there would be any way for anything to take place inside of it except for a battle of wills.

How about a battle inside your own body?

Due to space-warping you end up inside your own body(one of the characters bodies).

And just to be fun all the characters bodies are linked together via voodoo so that stabbing the surroundings will stab everyone so no one has a distinct advantage. This makes it so they will have to adapt and make sure that they don't attack the environment lest they give themselves a stomachache or a heartattack.

There is also mucus and other bodily fluids which can work as weapons and acid in the stomach can hurt you.

Also if you stab someone the blade will go in the person's body and possibly attack one of the other people. inside the body.

Stabbing someone will send a giant shaped knife inside the body and moving the smaller knife will move the bigger knife.

The voodoo curse only works from the inside so you are free to attack the other people from the outside.

...what if the opponents are different genders, species, life forms, etcetera, or will it be a giant city like structure which encompasses every body system imaginable

cool, and maybe there can be a giant army of white bloodcells, bacteria and viruses, as well as giant train size parasights that reak havock throughout the body system providing a perpetual state of Chaos and adaption through which they can use to their advantage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fighting ground is a spacial paradox as opposed to a temporal paradox.

The bodies all exist in the same space so when they are fighting they are fighting in their own body even if their opponents are fighting from their own bodies.

Kinda hard to grasp, I know. BTW the voodoo idea is scrapped here is a better explanation.

Each person's body becomes their own dimension and they are all super-imposed on each other.

Each contestant bodies can only affect their own dimension and they can only see their own dimension and the other dimensions become non-affectable/non-existent in their own dimension.

The contestants are made up of something that can be seen and affected by all dimensions yet their own bodies are theirs only to manipulate unless their bodies have been intruded in.

Having different life-forms is a non-factor since they can only  see and affect their own dimension thus the physical features of each dimension still stand.

If for example a knife enters one of the contestants-a giant sized knife will appear out of a hole in the stabbed person's dimension and moving the knife can cause a bigger hole to appear. If a big enough hole is made the dimension will be sucked into the dimension of the person that made the hole and the stabbed person gets removed from the game since they are spacially and physically incapable of continuing the fight since their "dimension" got destroyed

How would you explain disrepencies within the dimensions, because it would appear to one player that another player walked through a physical object because it did not exist in their body system, therefor they can not see or be influenced by it.

Ok....

Or we could try something simpler first then work our way up to the mind-bending environments.

I was, myself, honestly thinking of something like a roman colosseum match for the first one. Just to get used to the flow of fighting roleplaying.

Because, quite frankly, we won't be able to do it like the main roleplay we have.

We'd have to each get our character(s) and control just them exclusively. Not taking control of anyone else, unless it's some power.

Or something...

Re: Imaginary Battle Royal

jester_of_god
true how about we work down in this scale starting with one, and moving down one step when we get used to the flow.

1. Colloseum arena types

2. Desert areas/wasteland areas

3. Forest

4. small town.

5. Cities

6. Include various features into the cities such as traffic.

7. Fictional areas such as underground mushroom city

8. Incorporate reality alterations and surreal aspects

9. Whatever the freaking heck sprouts from the most darkest, calculative, theoretical, and messed up recesses of your mind that can still count as PG 13.

Ok, this is an idea for a tournament-style large scale fight.

The little boxes represent individual characters. (Ignore the number of them).

The first large box is a grande melee basically, Every character in one large area and the last half of the first large number of them pass.

The second two are a bunch of individual battles, One vs One.

Then the last final contestants do another one. Everyone against everyone.

Then you have the final winner!

Of course this is just a suggestion. There are a million different ways to organize something like this.

Anyway, since this is basically just a fighting rp, we don't need such an extensive or detailed character sheet.

Name-
Personality-
Appearance-
Powers/Weaknesses/Traits-

Would be sufficient, because ideally we should have a large bunch of distinctive characters. Otherwise this will end to quickly.

What about an arena that changes based on the number of posts in the battle. It would be better for battles that would contiue through several posts. It would be a simple flat arena (or endless dimension that was flat if thats what you need) that would start normal then change starting on the second post and every 3rd post after that. Each change lasts 3 posts and is turned off when the next change turns on. The changes would go in a pattern and could include:

Flight Shift: All characters that can not fly can fly and those that can already fly can fly twice as fast with increased skill.

Element Shift: Causes an Elemental storm. First time shift happens it shifts to Ice: hailstorm, then Wind: Strong winds that can cause tornadoes, Fire: Burning ash from the sky, Earth: the ground shakes.

Gravity Shift: Each time gravity shift occurs the direction of gravity changes 90 degrees. First increasing gravity, then making gravity sideways (making people fall and slide towards a direction as if there was no ground below them), then making gravity lighter third time, finaly back to sideways but in opposite direction.

Power shift: alternates from characters swapping powers to character's powers being negated (cant be blocked)

Location Shift: The area changes from being a flat expanse to any location such as forest, mine, city, moon. Only shifts to an area that the characters can survive in, even though it doesnt necessarilly have to be safe for the characters.

Time Shift: The characters bodies increase in speed but the speed of projectiles is slowed down.

Space shift: First time: close combat: no matter how far a character thinks he runs he will always be close to an opponent, Second time: Long shot: The characters, no matter how fast/far they move, can not get close to each other.

and for fun: Gender Switch: Boy/girl switch obviously but could also be used to change how character uses their powers due to their new boy/girl mind strategy. Offensive/defensive, long range/close range, planned/unplanned.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

perhaps we can implement groups of players into the preliminary rounds.

Sounds like a good idea, but it would probably used for one of the higher levels in the tournament.
