@Everblade's character pic: awesomeness...VERY nice.
But yeah, no, we need to start this crap soon. We've had pages and pages of discussion, so it's bout time we get to the fightin'. We'll have to set up a time or something when EVERY player will be online at the same time. Mine is XLPRQ (his name is pronounced by HIS race as Bob...the P is silent )

Uh...thanks?
Anyways...Not sure when everyone will be on. Maybe later we can battle, but I'm expecting to leave in a little bit. Will you be on later today?

I have a couple in the works that I'm trying to make the sheet for.
Including Kaen Olympia= A wizard/forth dimensional being who wields half of an artifact of magic that has incredible power. Dragon familiar. Abel Olympia= Kaen's Twin brother who was seperated from him at a young age and razed by a king of monsters. He holds the second half of the artifact. Tiffany Manticore= Another wizard who comes from a rich family of explorers. Her familiar is a winged cat. Rian= A shadow being and keeper of the artifact of darkness accompanied by black bird of unknown species Jessica= A forest elf and keeper of the artifact of light. accompanied by odd sentient squirrel like creature Tyler= human/ master swordsmen and Kaen's childhood friend. Keeper of the artifact of twighlight and is accompanied by a dog. Mic= master scientist with increased physical abilities. accompanied by a sentient swarm of nannites capable of taking any form and controling machinery. Jester's envoy= from the beggining of the new world, substantially less powerfull. Normally accompanied by a Graceourum=ghost like creature that absorbs soul energy. Jack= reality manipulating alien that has been brainwashed into thinking he is human. As such he takes the form of a human and has only limited use of his powers aside from extremely good luck. It's just taking me a while to figure out how to make the character sheets for these guys, and I haven't had much free time lately either.

I don't know if my character is overpowered or not.
"Pseudo-time stop" can still be almost as useful as time stop. |
so far no one's characters seem to overpowered. Their all approved, unless the other judges say otherwise.

Do we have to write a backstory on why the character joined the tournament etcetera and what the prize is?

Maybe so...might be nice.

what's a familiar???
Everblade, where have YOU been? A familiar is a creature/being that is the tutor, mentor, guide and (usually) friend to a mage (witch, wizard, etc.). Vampires also have familiars, which are typically humans that want to be turned (they carry out any tasks or errands that the vampire desires, in exchange for some attempt at immortality and being bestowed with great power); Dragons also have familiars, but they tend to be either humans or LESSER serpents (smaller dragons, snakes, lizards, etc.)

In my book familiars are more similiar to pets that you have the ability to filter your magical abilities through them. They usually have increased physical, and mental skills than their regular counterparts, as well as an ability to use magic. There is a technic in which you strengthen the flow of magic between yourself and your familiar, causing the familiar to increase in size and power, and altering your physical and mental form to more closely represent your familiar while simultaneously recieving a massive boost in power, and physical abilites. Their is a second form of this technic in which the familiars are absorbed into yourself and trun into weapons. This form increases your strength even further, while your animal characteristics grow. During the first form you cannot activate your ring, therefor you cannot summon a wand or any other weapons, which is why the second form is important.

blade elmo huh...must destroy
Oh well. When I origionally had the idea for this for some reason a reccurring resion kept popping into my head. The fights would be a giant qualification exam for a war against a giant army of super powerful demonic creatures lead by rhiolo or some other thing.

I think the you get a wish if you win the tournament seems like a good idea. I know cliche but it works.

I agree, a wish would be nice...
but like a totally no-strings attached wish...only GODHOOD is off-limits...

Nah we'll have a limit that the wish can only be granted if it can be achieved through money/normal magic or something like that.
Also how many characters can we add if we can add more than 1 then.... Name-Drake Cuulhorn Personality- hotblooded, always wants to charge in to battle, but he can use strategy if he needs to Appearance- Male, long blue blue hair, a horn in the middle of his forehead and a scarf with runes sewed in Powers/Weaknesses/Traits- Magic Enhanced Body---Unlike other magicians he knows only one type of magic---body strengthening magic Mana Barrier- Slight invulnerability to spells and normal physical attacks due to mana barrier surrounding his person due to his body enhancing spell Mana ReservesHas more mana than most of his species and is regulated by his scarf Weaknesses: Can only use that 1 type of magic--no variety, attacking him repeatedly-no matter the strength of attack depletes his mana faster making him vulnerable, tendency to overexert himself when he doesn't have his scarf, no knowledge of martial arts just smash things |
