Thank you♪ I just need at least 5 more skills and I'll be finished with the class skills. After that I'll think of a class description to explain the reason for a Shinigami going adventuring though it will probably be Zale's idea of a quota needing to be filled.
Got any ideas for skills for those 5 empty levels?

Ok, let me know of any skills you think of.
@Everyone: Just a note that 'Reiki' or 'Soul Feeling/Healing' is an actual thing that you can learn from masters in the modern world. It's not made up, though I'm not sure I remembered the name correctly. Just realize that whether it works or not is well... not confirmed by science.

I figured that you'd have some knowledge on Reiki, but as for everyone else... I'm not too sure on that. Plus, as I said, I wasn't sure I got the spelling correct for Reiki since it's been almost a year-to-date since I saw the exhibit they had on Reiki at Obon-no-Matsuri at the local temple.

I know, and so far we've got, a character who controls spirits, a character who eats spirits, and a character who carries them to the afterlife. Team Gothic.

I Figured I should come up with backup character, in case Gretchen bites it. How is this? I'm trying to do this concept without it being Mary Sue.
Name: Scarlet Smith (AKA Anathema the Scarlet) Race: Dragon, cursed into human form. Class: Cursed Dragon Dragons! Pretty much the be all, end all apex predator. Greedy, cutthroat, diabolical, and arrogant in the extrema. Anathema was all of these things and more. For 123 years she terrified the kingdoms of the mountains and amassed quite a horde. She was so big, and so brutally strong that she didn't think she needed to become a skilled manipulator and rely on deception to get what she wanted. Besides, she was almost as bad at it as she was at magic. Her brother wasn't very big, but made up for it being excellent at magic. Very excellent. So, when he came like a snake in the night into her hideout and rewrote reality so that "Anathema was a human being," it was almost a trivial thing for him. He then proceeded to get back at her for all those years of being bullied in the nest by sitting on her and teleporting her hoard away while she watched. He then had the discourtesy to die when those adventurers had charged into the room looking for her. She managed to convince them that she was a captured princess, and slipped away before they started asking inconvenient questions. Now she has a few problems. First; she has made her share of enemies over the last 123 years, and them learning exactly what has become of her would just make their day. Second; she has no clue where her brother lived, and so no idea where her hoard is now. And she needs her hoard, because third; if she want to have a wizard undo this, she has to make it worth more than just slicing her up for spell components. All this would require a subtle hand. Unfortunately, she's not used to subtle.

hmmm, I think there are about three people on the team who could help her with that problem if they wanted to.
|
No, not really.
I think you're underestimating just how good her brother Alendorf was at magic. He was the runt of the litter, and made it through adolescence alive on by being good at magic. The spell he cast didn't effect her directly; it convinced reality that she was human and it corrected what it saw as a mistake. Took a lot out of him, though. Probably why those adventures were able to kill his so easily. As for class skills, I was thinking of her slowly forcing the spell off, regaining more dragon powers as she get higher in level. Not going back to her original form, it never goes that far.

We've got the grim reaper, and a spirit medium.

I might be able to overwrite that for about thirty seconds with Curse of the Chimera, but I'm not sure. It would be a useful Coup de grace if our two characters teamed up in a fight at higher levels.
But seriously, it's a great idea. |

Neither of which has any effect on that.
