Maybe because humans are beings of earth, or perhaps ecause earth is more of a defensive element in that one, or maybe because they simply didn't want to include it.

I didn't include Earth because it isn't as likely that you'd die from it as you are from Fire, Water, Ice, and Lightning.
I consider Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Lightning, Ice, Wood, Metal, and Sound to be elements.
