Elemental Planes Role Play Part 2

[Philote]

"Oh, don't act like you don't remember me" The shadow man speaks "This is not the first time you all have burst in on my plans. Its not like I would not recognize you all after what you did to my home, even with how mutated the lot of you have become."

The shadow man collects himself for a moment before speaking "Now, I'm going to give you all one chance to chase down a Colossus somewhere else. I've got my own business to finish here."

[Zaleramancer]

"So, who's the shadowy dude?" I whispered to the shocky looking fellow.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Apparently, we've met him before. An Old One from the Realm of Darkness..."

[Philote]

"Your memories seem to be lacking" the elemental replies "I am not an Old One, nor do I wish to meet one. I am pleased to know that you hold no interest in me. Now begone, I have an Artifact to collect."

[Ericus Europaeus (Bug)]

"Now, now, let's not get into a fight with the mysterious shadow man! Or wait for me to hide behind rocky, first.  "

[Philote]

"Personally, I was hoping you would not take my offer" The shadow man says with a sly grin "You humans are no longer of any use since you released me from my service to the Dark Colossus. The only thing left now is for me to take your powers after your deaths."

The shadow man lifts up his palm and the King's Bloodstone emerges from the darkness. "This was so easy for me to obtain once you all let it slip from your fingers when you left my realm." The Artifact launches forward and embeds itself inside of Neo's chest.

"That should keep you all busy until I'm able to return with the other Artifact" he says as he leaves through the metal gate and seals it behind him.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I rush over to see if Neo is alright.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

I tense up as soon as the Elemental leaves and start watching Neo to see what happens.

[Philote]

Neo has crumpled over in pain, the Artifact that has embedded in his chest has become covered in metal. Neo's skin had already become metallic from the mutation everyone had gone through, but now it was growing thicker.

Phi runs after the shadow man but is unable to pass through the metal gate, event a bolt of Wet Lightning seems ineffective at moving the gate.

[Zaleramancer]

"Maybe I can help?" I kneel next to Neo. I try to heal whatever the artifact is doing to him.

[Philote]

The light heals Neo, relieving him of his pain. "Thank you" he says between deep breaths "You've stopped the pain....its just that...I can't.......thoughts are becoming blurred......"

Zale continuous to try to heal his friend, but finds that there are no more injuries to be healed. The Artifact seems to be adding on to Neo now, not hurting him.

[Philote]

A mechanical hand strikes out at Wulf, knocking him across the metal platform. Neo staggers forward, unable to speak anymore as metal grows out of him.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "What the heck?" I begin, "That is NOT normal!"

My elemental form glows a bit, as I call up electromagnetic energy to help me fight against the metal projections, and hopefully still not harm Neo.

I charge toward the metal things, partially emboldened by the thought of helping an ally, and partially just plain angry.

[Philote]

In just a few moments, Neo has grown to twice the size of the group, and his growth does not appear to be slowing down.

Wulf fires out a wave of electromagnetic energy, but it does not appear to phase Neo. The energy seems to sink into Neo's metal body, and Wulf feels it slip away from his own power's reach. Unhindered, Neo's metal claws raise and grab onto the two nearest him, Wulf and Zale, and lifts them into the air.

Compartments open up along Neo's shoulders and metallic humanoids fly out, their lower halves replaced with chains connecting to Neo's own body. One of these robots flies off towards Phi, grabbing him with a heavy grip. Phi is dragged along the edge of the platform, and only narrowly manages to escape being hurled to his death off the mountain by slipping through the robots grip with his Liquid Form.

Radiance bursts from me as I try frantically to teleport away.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

I turn my electromagnetism into plain magnetism, in an attempt to repulse myself away from the metal monster.

[Philote]

Zale slips through Neo's grip, there is nothing Neo can do about the teleporting except to siphon off a little light energy as Zale moves away. At this point, Neo is reaching Colossus size, taking up a majority of the platform.

Phi scrambles away from the edge of the platform. "What the call" he cries out "Can we even save him, do we end him?" he was the newest member in the group, it was not his choice to make on how they dealt with this old comrade.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Alright big guy....time to knock some sense back in ya!"

I charge forward towards Neo, dodging the robotic minions and rubble by leaping atop rocky pillars raised hastily from the ground. I stride higher and higher with each step, getting closer to Neo's chest.

...and with one final, powerful leap I tackled Neo in the chest, plunging my stone hands into his metallic chest. With a shout of barbaric power, I pull hard on the metal coating in an attempt to rend it from his chest.

"It's the Artifact! We've got to remove it. Keep him off balance!"

[Philote]

Phi follows Marv's lead, he was going to do everything in his power to save their friend. Several bolts of Wet Lighting, some jumping from the octopus tentacles protruding from his back, strike and sever the chains connecting the robotic minions from Neo, causing them to fall immobile to the ground. A torrent of green water rushes away from Phi after the barrage which wraps around Neo's left leg. Vines grow from the Waters of Life to impede his movement.

Meanwhile, Marv tears away at the metal coatings on Neo's chest. Panel after panel of metal are flung away as Marv digs towards the Artifact. Suddenly, as Marv pulls another panel away, a metallic hand latches onto his. An incomplete robotic minion crawls out of Neo's chest and sinks its teeth into Marv's stone arm.

Between Phi and Marv's actions, Wulf is able to escape from the metal claw from which he was trapped.
