The well seems the extend down further than you can see. At the edge of your vision you can make out a swirling tower of darkness.

The darkness seems to react to you looking at it, and arcs upwards, rearranging itself into the shape of a human. As it rises higher, you can tell that it was further than you thought, and by the time it reaches the surface, it is towering over you. The lower half of its body still swirls with darkness and descends into the well.

Once at the surface, it picks up Bug and Marv, the unfortunate onlookers, in its grip.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

"That is the old one!" The light elemental yelled "Don't let it hit you, it's power would dwarf a colossus if we give it time to fully awaken!"

The fireball hits the old one's face and a small sliver of light forms at the impact.

The old one takes its hands, with Marv and Bug in them, and presses them against the side of the walls and slowly squeezes them.

Small slivers of light appear on the old one's palms every couple seconds from the flames, but he doesn't let up.

(Hint: Don't try to directly overpower it )

I leap forward to the Old One, not sure of his power, and attempt to drain any elemental energy (light, heat, electricity) that he may have stored up, discharging it behind me. No need to directly try to overpower him when we can just weaken him.

Bug crawls out and the old one pulls its hand back, leaving Bug hanging in air.

A single sliver of light appears where Wulf drains the beast, and energy flows out behind him, but the old one doesn't particularly look like it is losing any substantial amount of power.
