The well seems the extend down further than you can see. At the edge of your vision you can make out a swirling tower of darkness.
The darkness seems to react to you looking at it, and arcs upwards, rearranging itself into the shape of a human. As it rises higher, you can tell that it was further than you thought, and by the time it reaches the surface, it is towering over you. The lower half of its body still swirls with darkness and descends into the well.
Once at the surface, it picks up Bug and Marv, the unfortunate onlookers, in its grip.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
