I stopped reviewing powers as I don't have a lot of leisure time now. (plus, my company blocked the main site for being game-related.) So, WHD must be single-handedly reviewing them all! (... though I suspect Shadowulf1 jumps in from time to time when I see 4-5 Mythpowers in a row ) |

Yeah, I do the MythPowers myself.
But whenever I do get the time/patience/initiative to actually read powers and check them over carefully (not just skipping over them to find mine), I usually auto-approve you guys unless it outright sticks out as one that already exists, etc. A couple I've found that were original and seemed unoriginal, and a couple that were unoriginal that seemed original. so, um, yeah...I'd say, as of late, my record's kinda hit and miss.

Yeah, you're right.
I'm actually thinking of changing some of the repeats into new stuff. Maybe random and useless, but at least original.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking. Since they are still here, it also means those who created them didn't come back. They would have corrected them.
Speaking of replacing them. I've been thinking about some sort of game or contest: - We start with one of the least wanted superpowers of the List; - In the forums, volunteers post suggestions about new powers to counter it. All the powers must be dumb/useless, but are actually strong against the first power in a logical/creative way (the powers must still follow the same guideline as regular powers, no "ability to only negate..." or powers-that-can-counter-it-just-because-the-creator-says-so-while-it-does-something-totally-unrelated-that-could-in-no-way-counter-it-if-the-creator-didn't-say-it); - We vote for the best of the dumb powers; - Mods will replace one of the powers up-for-deletion (ones created months ago, so we are sure the creators really abandonned them) by the winning power, precising somewhere in the tags that the power was modified as a part of a forum contest; - The loser powers can still be submitted to the main site by their creator themselves, if they want to. In that case, they will be forever ashamed to have created such useless powers and will forever bear their sins on their profile page! - Then, we repeat the same process with the winning power being the power to counter (or another one of the least wanted powers) So, what do you guys think? |
